13th anniversary of 9/11

As you know, WPers, today (it is still the 10th where I am at presstime, however), today is the 13th anniversary of the most tragic day in modern history.

Where were you when it happened? I first got word as I woke up for school then (I had started high school then), and then I realized that my whole mind, my 14-year old me became paralyzed in spirit because of the fact that I began to fear that terrorists would be out to get me. But, my para-ed assistants (from my middle school year onward, I was helped by para-educator assistants, as I called them) reassured me that I would be alright, and that I would be safe. Well, here I am 13 years later, I'm now a changed man and a very upbeat one at that. Prior to this, I was just a loner. The events of 9/11 did help me open my eyes quite a bit.
