I'm thinking of sending a complaint to the government's cabinet office highlighting the issue of nepotism at said office. Do you think they'll respond? I like to exercise that right in a democracy, you see.

(I assume you know what I refer to. In one word: Eton.)

No, they will not respond. If they did respond, it would just be a form letter saying they received your communication, thank you for contacting them, they value your opinion, goodbye. For this reason most people start petitions, since a hundred thousand signatures often have more success at being noticed than one single letter.
