Your thoughts on power?

I think the only power we have is knowledge which allows us to figure things out and eventually master them so we can triumph over circumstance due to what we know.


What do you all think about the nature of power?

After reading the title of the thread I first thought of electrical power, then military power, and now I'm thinking of the Navy's new railgun, which is a product of knowledge.

You need political power (and will) to use the railgun.

Like anything.. too much or too little can be a problem.

Yes knowledge is power but knowing is power too.

And knowing can be FEELING, INSTINCT AND INTUITION TOO..

Requiring absolutely no VERBAL THOUGHT, as verbal thought is most often considered knowledge.

And then there is our instinctual animal nature, and if a person carries themselves with both advanced physical and emotional intelligence there is a power in that, that is part of every human social interaction whether realized with language or not.

REAL human power is a multifaceted phenomenon and I've only touched on the complexity of it here.

Some folks perhaps experience 10 percent of it, and some folks perhaps experience 50 percent of it, but considering that most human beings are functionally disabled by MODERN culture per the instinctual, intuitive, physical, and even emotional ways of power, in some cases, not likely that many people get over 10 percent OF WHATEVER the full potential may be.

There are so many aspects of human intelligence that some folks have almost no experience of it in life, as they are not in balance in a culture that demands specialization instead of a 'renaissance' way of life, exercising all parts of one's mind and body, in what can be SIMPLY AND COMPLEXLY AMAZING HUMAN POWER(S). :)

There are dimensions of both intelligence and power that I experience in REAL LIFE NOW, THAT I HAD NO IDEA existed before I experienced them through physical and emotional intelligence through way of instinct, intuition and extremely complex feelings.

And nah, I'm probably just still scratching the FULL POTENTIAL, IN MY life as well. :)

But NO, I see no limitations or expectations in life, and that is the secret of all of my successes in life, in ways of intelligence and TRUE HUMAN POWER ATTAINED more fully as such.

And in my case used only for positive ways of life, but nah, that's not a given for other folks, but the secret to the greatest fires of power that do exist per human nature, is in unconditional love, and letting go of all con-social emotions, per the Eastern philosophy ways of life, that are growing more distant as well, per what human potential in full intelligence and power CAN BE. :)

Knowledge is a mountain stream finding it's way to the sea.

True, and metaphorically speaking now, as compared to the past, people observe me in REAL LIFE AS a human Tsunami..:)

I also thought electrical power when I read the thread name. To which I replied, I like power. LOL

I do agree that knowledge is power. Humans didn't evolve to become the dominant animal species on the planet due to brawn. It was due to brains.

Love is more like a shared warmth than an actual power.

In the English Language the words provided for love are very restrictive and in cultures that speak English most people do see love as a bonding type of warm feeling that can be related to the neurohormone oxytocin.

This neurohormone also by the way is the one that research suggests that SOME folks on the Autism Spectrum are deficient in.

The opinions on Love do vary across cultures per what it is and the complexity of what it is.

But there is a type of love that may be related to the neurochemical, DMT, or what some folks describe as the GOD or Spirit Molecule.

On the street it is referred to as Ecstasy and more recently Molly as synthetic versions made from the oil of sassafras the ingredient that was used historically in making Root beer but is no longer used as cocaine is no longer used in Coca Cola.

DMT is an empathogen drug and yes an empathy drug that can make a person feel like they LOVE THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE, far beyond the oxytocin affection bonding type love AND it appears that this may be the naturally occurring brain chemical related to Serotonin that is released when folks do extreme meditation including moving meditation like TAI CHI where mind and body becomes balanced and all fears disappear as well as ridding oneself of all con-social emotions like envy, greed, spite, hate and etc.

IT TRAVELS DOWN THE VAGAL NERVE FROM BRAIN TO GUT, and in my opinion this truly is the Kundalini Serpent as metaphor that has been used for thousands of years in Eastern Cultures. And yes, it is perhaps the metaphor for Holy Spirit as well.

And interestingly, THE EMOTION RELATED NEUROCHEMICAL PER SEROTONIN TRAVELING DOWN THE VAGAL NERVE ALLOWS US TO trust the world around us and feel self-esteem.

The neurochemical DMT per the street drug ecstasy that is illegal, by the way, powers a person to incredible physical feats sometimes to the point of self-injury as well.

But of course as with all drugs ingested externally they do not work the same way as when synthesized naturally through WILLED MIND AND BODY ACTIVITY, PER Yoga and TAI CHI, and even the ECSTATIC DANCES of our so-called ancestors wildy dancing free with the rhythms of drums and chants of voice.

But really the point is per power is that without fear which is the state of being of this higher power of what may be described as DMT per process of brain chemistry, SACRED LOVE IS INCREDIBLE HUMAN POTENTIAL.

WHEN One IS IN THIS state of mind creativity goes through the roof, and the ability for strength and confidence in succeeding in social interaction goes through the roof as well, as it is also the basis for a type of human charisma based on love and pro-social emotions instead of controlling others and con-social emotions.

It's the type of state of mind, that moves metaphorical mountains, and for those who do gain the self-mastery of balance in mind and body to generate this type of love in mind and body balance, they DO MOVE METAPHORICAL MOUNTAINS.

IN MY CASE, 810 lbs. on a parallel leg free weight leg machine, after being so weak and sick I could not hardly raise my arms above my head after eating a meal without passing out during a 5 year stint a little over a year ago as almost a complete shut-in in my home in my bedroom.

YES I WAS like the frigging Hunch Back of Notre Dame, only going outside at 3AM when my eyes with sunglasses could tolerate the street lights to walk a little bit, when it was cool enough where I did not almost pass out.

But what caused almost all of my 19 medical documented disorders was chronic stress that is at core FEAR.

I AM ABSOLUTELY FEARLESS NOW, PER ALL ILLUSORY FEARS, BECAUSE OF THIS TYPE OF LOVE THAT IS THE HIGHER POWER OF WHAT MOST people have been describing as GOD for thousands of years.

Not easy to express this to a person that may of never experienced it as I only got short glimpses of this Nirvana/Bliss/SACRED LOVE throughout my lifetime not realizing how I created this state of mind and being, but now it is almost always my state of mind and being.

And one OTHER result OF THAT is dance walking a martial arts ballet style of dance walk in just 15 months for almost 2700 miles approaching the distance across the continental US in METRO AREA STORES WHILE MY WIFE SHOPS.

And as far as I know it is a unique style that no one has ever seen before per the hundreds of comments I have received.

And when I dance like this FULL BORE IN RAVE DANCE HALLS AND OTHER AVENUES FOR FEMALE AND MALE DANCE INTERACTION for up to 4 hours without a drink of water, IT ALMOST NEVER FAILS THAT SOMEONE COMES UP TO ME AND ASKS ME IF I'M on MOLLY.

AND THE REALITY IS I LIKELY AM BUT IT IS THE ALL NATURAL TYPE OF HIGH THAT IS NIRVANA, BLISS, OR WHAT CAN BE DESCRIBED AS THE SACRED LOVE OF LOVING EVERYTHING IN THE UNIVERSE AKA AS THE GOD EXPERIENCE PER ONENESS OF BEING WITH ALL that is. :)

YES IT IS THE ULTIMATE HUMAN POWER.

AND when used in a productive manner CAN MOVE the metaphorical mountains of life.

I hope the way I described it may be in a way that you can relate to, or someone else potentially in the listening audience as there IS NOTHING LIKE IT IN THE UNIVERSE I KNOW OF THAT IS BETTER FAR BEYOND ANY CONSUMER ORIENTED CRAP. ;)

AND IT IS ALL-FREE FOR ONE WHO FINDS IT and practices it, as IT DOES TAKE CONSTANT MIND AND BODY BALANCE WORK TO MAINTAIN IT.

THAT'S THE INCREDIBLE PART.

AND THERE IS NO PRICE OF MONEY THAT CAN VALUE IT, AS THIS SACRED LOVE IS INFINITE IN VALUE BEYOND all materialistic ways of life.

Even the Amish use electrical devices. It isn't practical to live completely without it. You need a way to operate in the dark, and firelight is not great for the eyes. Artificial light lets you take in a lot more information, initially. But, it's subject to power failures. Then, you can't see anything!

Then you can't see anything!

For all its flaws, electricity currently seems the best option for power production. I would like to see new ways to produce power using neither (man made) electricity nor fire. Some kind of glowing insect could solve the reading-at-night problem.
