That's a good question. Why did we loose our fur?
Have read various theories since I studied anthropology decades ago. To me none are very convincing. Most have to do with dissapating heat through sweat becoming easier without fur.
We now know when we lost our fur-from a recent study someone did comparing the DNA of headlice with that of body lice (theyre now two different species of lice). But not really why.
A bit like when we went from black to white skin... brown to blue eyes.. dark to light hair..
Ever watch that program that traced our DNA all the way back to our African ancestors? It was quite cool to watch.
As for the Bao Bao... now that's a new one for my lexicon. I haven't heard that before.
