I think the USA can boast that it is the home of the greatest white collar criminal ever: Bernie Madoff.

In fact I once got curious about how the world greatest white collar criminal's earnings compared to those of one of the greatest blue collar criminals:Pablo Escobar (the Columbian cocaine kingpin). Oddly enough the same figure turned up as "annual income" in both wiki article about the respective felons: eight billion dollars.

if you allow for group instead of one person, i'd have to say fox news. recently when fact checked, only 18% of what they reported was true. they get people to vote against their own interests and make super-wealthy folks like the koch brothers even richer.

I noticed that scammers often prey on someone's greed.
