And heading toward Siberia, Russia now. Some say a pole shift is inevitable and this is a harbinger of that.

Pole shift, some speculate, would end civilization as we know it.

Do you all think it will happen sooner? Or later?

Pole shift happens all the time.
When I was a kid, magnetic was 4 degrees off true.
Last time I looked, it was 11 degrees.
No idea what it is now.

No worries. The shifting of the Earth's magnetic poles is not a harbinger of the Apocalypse. The magnetic poles have even swapped places several time since the Earth was formed.

Of course, there are already some scaremongers out there who will try to convince you otherwise, but they seem to be the type of people for whom Civilization As We Know It is always on the brink of destruction.

Mostly people get scared thinking something strange is going to happen, when it is even not a strange thing to happen in itself. It's because they haven't tought about it before.
Religious education helps a lot, in the fear departement. We're living in the crapocalypse.
