What if we're all in a giant complex computer game and God is the creator of us and this world. God is just some teenage kid trying to pass time by playing a game be bought at his version of Walmart. The problem is that the sin glitch causes us to disobey commands given to us by God and he can't figure out how to get rid of the sin glitch, hes browsing the internet trying to figure it out. And when you die, you simply respawn into a place called heaven that is inaccessible until you die.

I am pretty sure that a lot of research points to this kind of idea. For example, the Holographic principle is the idea that we are hologram of s 2d information structure. So, it comes to a similar conclusion that you did that we are all basically illusions.

But how can one person control 7 billion characters at once? And when does he get time to eat and sleep?

That's exactly what his mom would like to know.

I think I understand what you are saying.

Does that make us insane or does that make us right?

We cannot perceive when "pause" is pressed. It could be an MMORPG, or we could all be controlled by a being that experiences life very differently to us.

Someone has either binge-watched the Matrix series, or has O.D.'ed on World of Warcraft.

Lol, yeah, I was pretty nutso when I made that post. I was manic. I'm better now a little bit.

It's kind of an interesting idea though. Sometimes these thoughts can be scary.

Sorry for slurring my words... I'm a little pixellated.

Is there any actual legitimate evidence at all to support the idea? What experiments have been performed that show that it is possible to be true?

Must be.

This "teenage kid" just hits the pause button, and then goes to dinner, sleeps, does his homework, and even goes to high school dances (and has a life). But returns to his XBox device and then unpauses our universe, and we have no way of knowing the difference. To us there is no break in the continuity.

But then- does this teenage kid ALSO live in a simulation-being controlled by a bigger teenage dork in a bigger bedroom?
How does THAT work?

The world is the harsh environment that our father (Adam) was condemned to after being expelled from the garden of eden.

that gives me an idea, why doesn't some enterprising clever techie come up with a garden of eden video game app? it would be where depending on which options were chosen at proper times, the events of the bible in genesis could be altered. just a thought.

On top of it being totally blasphemous it wouldnt be much of game. Either the two eat the fruit, or they dont eat the fruit. If the latter -they live in paradise forever. If the former -then you have the story as it was. Not much room for strategy, nor tactics.
