It's like when people answer a question with a question.

So other people can kill time by giving them silly answers?

Seriously though. Once upon a time I truly believed there was no such thing as a stupid question.

Yahoo Answers changed that soon enough. Lasted 7 years in the end. I rarely go there now.

Some of the questions on there are truly beyond belief...

My favorite silly question when I'm checking out at Walmart:

"Will that all for you today?"

The answer I will someday give when I'm in a cranky and sarcastic enough mood:

"No, I have lots more to buy; I just like checking a little out at a time!"

Welcome back to WP Babybird. Long time no see.

Why do people ask silly questions? Ya mean silly questions like "Why do people ask silly questions?"

Dunno.

Just to start conversation I suppose.

A "silly question" implies trust - trust that you're going to respect the person asking the question.

Every question asked, is capable of nurturing both the questioner and the one responding.
