He and Hillary tried to implement something which would have created, for all intents and purposes, "national insurance" for Americans.

I would assume that he thinks Obamacare is a poor compromise.

It seems pretty clear that Bill has absolutely despised Obama personally since denying Hillary the nomination in 2008, he's had a hard time not running his mouth about Obama a number of time during campaign events which he rarely appears at anymore as well as over the course of the last 8 years.

Here is what he said:

"“You’ve got this crazy system where all of a sudden 25 million more people have health care and then the people are out there busting it, sometimes 60 hours a week, wind up with their premiums doubled and their coverage cut in half,” Mr. Clinton told voters. “It’s the craziest thing in the world.”

“The people that are getting killed in this deal are small businesspeople and individuals who make just a little too much to get any of these subsidies,” the former president added.

Obamacare was never meant to be the end all of health care reform. It was only the first step. It's kind of like fixing a broken system with duct tape. It may hold it together for a little longer but we'll still need a new system eventually. A single payer universal healthcare system is the only system that really makes sense if healthcare is a right.

We have Obamacare because President Obama told us that our single-payer system (Medicare) is a "ticking time bomb".

Every other developed nation on earth considers healthcare a right and has a single payer system. Besides Medicare is fine as long as we keep Republicans like Paul Ryan from gutting it. And I can find the quote you mentioned. The only thing I found him say is that "healthcare" in general is a "ticking time bomb."

Kinda like the Russian Revolution of 1917 was just the first step. Then you just have to liquidate the kulaks. And then kill all the Ukranians and Poles. And then purge the generals. And then ship the writers and intellectuals to the gulags. And then everything will work perfectly.

Yeah exactly, except it's about providing healthcare, you know, the opposite of killing people. I seriously don't understand how you can make that association.

Again every other developed nation on earth has a single payer system. There are some industries where having a profit motive has a toxic effect. Criminal justice is one, the military is another and Healthcare is a another one.
