It will likely get to a point similar to Argentina, where people pay taxes/bribes and get nothing in return. The govt in Argentina holds little power in Buenos Aires and none outside of it, but it still collects taxes and bribes, only the taxes/bribes go into the pockets of Cristina Kirchner and her lackeys. The police exist to insulate the elite from the rage of the poor and from the consequences of the elite's bad decisions. Buenos Aires has large areas where there is no law at all. The rich hire private guards, who are paid and fed well. Everybody else is left to rot.
didn't force him out he left after completing his task. we knew all about his scandal pre election. but the dems and media hushed it up so he could get elected and then resign so Kate Brown a dem could be appointed. if not the republican would likely have won. it was a super close election. the whole thing was just about ensuring a dem as governor since the alternative wasn't super high odds of getting one elected. I think it should have gone to special election or that the runner up should get it instead we have a governor that wasn't elected by the people. what if in 2016 a person ran for election won then a week later resigned allowing is vp to be president then it comes out he never planned to serve as president. upsetting.
the left praised and defended him through the elections then after joined the right to condemn him. all just to ensure a republican didn't get elected. after all better to elect a known corrupt democrat then a republican right?
as for Illinois, what do you expect from such a corrupt horrible state. they wanted to ban bolt action hunting rifles year ago.
