Just saw him on Meet The Press and Pope Francis's climate change "good stewards" manifesto was mentioned alongside what Huckabee has advocated in the past, which is basically the same thing as the Pope. Lately there's been murmurs about how liberals are embracing the Pope's opinions on climate change although, out the other side of their mouths, they accuse Christians of wrecking the environment because of what they read in the Bible about God granting humans complete control over earth and animalkind, to do what they will. So very quickly, Mike Huckabee in his interview, to avoid any association with these liberal swine, first agrees, yes, he did advocate something similar to what the Pope does in his new manifesto, back in the day, the good ole times, before the reign of the devil Obama, the take over of healthcare by the federal government and the evil, evil machinations of Nancy Pelosi. The next thing he does is the flip-flop Republicans are infamous for these days, and he goes onto talk about energy dependency and how 84 year old Grandma over in Arkansas is in dire need of cheap energy to run her air conditioner in the sweltering heat of August. Now all this would be good and fine UNLESS you know something about the energy industry, then it becomes pure and utter hog wash. Nothing but nonsense.
Anyone know why?
