That's called stealing, in case you're stupid.

Government should not be allowed to seize anything from anyone unless they can prove a criminal case to a judge and jury. It is INSANE to think that there is anything to be gained by leaving every American open to having anything and everything they own open to being summarily seized, without Due Process, in the name of fighting organized crime, when the government IS organized crime, and the biggest banks in America knowingly process all the billions and trillions of dollars for the worldwide drug cartels, and they NEVER get shut down or assets seized.

As much as I don't wish a violent death on anyone, John Stossel is one of those rare exceptions.
Years ago, I had seen footage of pro-wrestler Dr. D. David Schultz smacking Stossel around, and giving him permanent ear damage. Now I understand why Schultz did it.

Appalling and genuinely disturbing as it is, it's nothing new and is one of the tools born of the War on Drugs.
That aside, I can't help but wonder what John Stossel has done to earn the wrath of The Partizan to the point where The Partizan joyfully applauds physical assault on him? :chin:
I'm not familiar with Stossel's other work so maybe I'm missing something.

It's a matter of Stossel demonstrating again and again that he wasn't born with a heart. For instance, he had actually suggested that civil rights legislation should never have taken place, because "the free market" would have ended racism. Either he's a delusional fool who honestly believes such absurdities, or more likely, he knows that the market isn't going to fix anything; rather, it's just a matter of making promises that the market will provide an end to prejudice, and make ordinary people rich, just so they'll shut up and stay docile.

Quote:
John Frank Stossel (born March 6, 1947) is an American consumer television personality, author, and LIBERTARIAN pundit. In October 2009, Stossel left his long-time employment at ABC News to join the FOX Business Channel and FOX News Channel. He is the host of a weekly news show on FOX Business, Stossel, which was first broadcast on December 10, 2009. Stossel also regularly provides analysis, appearing on various FOX News programs, which include weekly appearances on THE O'REILLY FACTOR. He also writes a FOX News Blog, "John Stossel's Take". Stossel has also been a nationally syndicated newspaper columnist since February 2011.

WOW! :o
Just the first paragraph of that wikipedia article reveals that Stossel is a hardhearted libertarian heavily associated with Fox and O'Reilly. I'm starting to like him already.
If only he would just come all the way out of the closed and admit to being a full fledged evil conservative, horns and all.....

BTW, someone needs to remind The Partizan that he's boycotting me and therefor shouldn't even be reading anything I write, let alone indirectly responding to it.

You, not I, were the one crying when you instituted your boycott against Dox and I during the Penn State jock-o-phobia thread.

I don't mean to be insensitive or anything, but you do realize Stossel is being sarcastic throughout the whole video, right? he is not actually defending the cops, he is using sarcasm to show how ridiculous it is that we allow cops to do this.

I am, if anything, often guilty of hyperbole. I really don't wish death on anyone (well, with a few exceptions, maybe ). That being said, Stossel's record of conservative libertarianism is well known to me and others on this forum, and so I eagerly express my opinion about him.

If the person who had addressed me for breaking my boycott of him had not chosen to taunt me directly in a post immediately before, I'd have been more than happy to continue ignoring him and his "special friend."

My support was out of a personal matter.

In this case it's a matter of blind partisanship. Stossel is not a progressive so even though he's identifying abuse by our justice system that appears to be in violation of the 4th and 6th amendments he's still wrong by virtue of being a "hard hearted" libertarian and Fox employee.

Right and wrong mean nothing to a partisan, it's all about political affiliation. Look at SOME people's posting history and you'll see.
