If Adam or Eve was sterilized, and given a magic-anti-aging process to stop aging, and at the same time given a brain which resets its memory once every weak, humanity would live in peace, because there would be only 2 persons. And they would live forever because they are never getting old.
And they would love each other, and never get bored, because their brain will reset itself each weak, making it impossible for them to create a "life experience", and thus make them continue loving each other.

Evolution made things a little more interesting than the imagination of dead and living liars and madmen.

You forget, they were supposed to be PERFECT! 8-) ALSO, it wasn't until much later that the idea of aging was added. Supposedly the first person whos age was recorded lived to be about 1000. THEN, it makes a reference to 120 years as being the limit.

Still, it IS interesting. Some jerks say we all evolved from the same woman in Africa 5000 years ago. Their theory and method are so patently ludicrous and fly in the face of SO much science and common sense that one wonders how ANYONE can believe it.

Yet it is still accepted as fact by many. They never did explain that person found in china that is supposed to be over 13,000 years old, and has caucasion traits(Like white skin, the nose, and red hair) though.

I guess the caucasions moved to africa, had a black child, all died out, and came back? What a dumb concept.

He didn't sterilize them so they can multiply and replenish the earth. It says so in Genesis.

I reckon Gods 'proper' genetic work was conducted in a completely different galaxy* with a huge breeding population, prime resources and funding. The Adam & Eve side-project was more of an experimental afterthought conducted independantly under strict quarantine protocol. Perhaps he was aiming to discover, research and increase the understanding of congenital defects and anomalies, or maybe just create a freak-show for the hell of it.

*possibly the one mentioned at the start of 'star wars'

Always tempted to use 'What, the minus?' when I hear that. Bonus points to anyone who gets the reference.

He did it because, deep down in his heart, he wanted humanity. We are God.

1) As far as I know, the reason is because, as stated to Abraham and I think Noah, God wanted humans to both populate the world and to take care of it.

2) The creation as told in the Bible has been either derived from or influenced by the mythology of other religions and cultures. And mythology is more of a "take it or leave it" sort of thing, since it does not attempt to be consistent or verify that God(s) did create the world the way He/They did.
