Well as a democratic socialist(before it was cool) this year has been pretty exciting with the upcoming election in my country with the NDP(Social democracy party) in the lead though just barely holding on. New labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn in the UK being as what others describe a democratic socialist but I am not too informed about UK politics to comment with certainty that he is. As well as Bernie Sanders(a self-described democratic socialist) now the front-runner of the democratic presidential candidate. Seems like a wave of social progress, legalized gay marriage in America, talks of decriminalization or legalization of Cannabis in Canada by the liberal, greens and NDP parties of Canada. Legalization of Cannabis for recreational uses in two states Ohio and Alaska(correct me if I am wrong) the refugee crisis going on world-wide...... Quite a interesting last 2 years. What is your take on any of these issues or any relevant to the topic of social progress and these political campaigns.....

Marijuana is legal in Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, DC. On the ballot this year in Ohio altho the proposal is messed up, 2016 is going to be a huge year tho.
