A senior lawyer seemingly innocently complimented an attractive younger lawyer, telling her she looked stunning. The young woman reacted most unfavourably and is making a big noise. Some people say she has ruined her career.

Its probably true that attractive professional women want to be recognised for their ability, but shouldn't they face the facts of human nature.

If she didn't want to be complemented on her appearance, she shouldn't have posted flattering pictures of herself. Whenever I hear of something like this, I strongly suspect that these individuals, whatever the cause, etc. they espouse, are doing this for ulterior motives (career enhancement, airing dirty laundry, etc.). Ignore her, or better yet, take a look at her record, she could very well be trying to advance her career at the expense of others.

The now General Prosecuti of Crimea managed to deal with it with grace. Worldwide fame, becoming Anime in Japan, she ran on her record in Office, and published some off duty pictures.

Intelligent, hard working, cute, and proud of it all.

Me thinks the lady does protest too much.

hmm, kinda stupid if you ask me....I was not aware the word stunning was a sexist term used to objectify women, and doesn't really seem it was inappropriate in its context. Also I don't understand how someone saying 'that is the best picture I have seen on here' is sexist.

Why post pictures of yourself on the internet if you don't want people to comment about them? Especially on a social networking site, which from my understanding is where this incident occurred.

It makes no sense to post pictures of yourself if you don't want anyone to comment on them; it does make sense to post them if you do want someone to make comments so you can sue them.

Hmm seems a lot of effort just to cause problems for someone else....doesn't make sense to me, but yes i guess for people who are so inclined to behave that way it would make sense.
