If Women were a majority in society!

I have realized the world would be a better place if women outnumbered men by 90%, there would be less wars and the fact we men being rare we would be on high demand and women would fight over us and we would actually be valued for once and not vilified. The drawback however is the women without a man so it would in a way be a duable edged sword for sure. But at least men would be valued for once. If men made only 10% of the global population yeah!

Hmmm, interesting thought. There have been and still are matriarchal societies in various places in the world, where they have all or most of the leadership positions. in the tribe or group.

If women were so numerous would they all look something like Xena the Warrior Princess? The Fifth Element? Irina Spalko from Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull?

And I believe there would still be wars and violence, just in a different form. Women can be truly nasty creatures.

They would mostly take the form of spite wars on Facebook, Twitter and other social pages. Probably it's a minority of men who participate in such silliness.

You could have selective infanticide of male babies.

If they had started a generation ago when the OP was conceived then today the OP would be the first generation of 20 somethings to reach adulthood in this utopia of a female 9 to 1 super majority. The trouble is if 90 percent of male babies get infanticided the odds are that the OP would have been one of the killed (nothing about him per se. Just the odds). So the odds are he would not be around to enjoy this utopia.

He still has a one in 10 chance!

We could beat the odds.

The women would presumably take the initiative in selecting a consort / partner.

It would be difficult to be a gay male, but lesbianism would dramatically increase due to shortages of testosterone!

or...what if women held at least an equal amount of powerful positions in society as men do? then we wouldn't have to kill babies.

Women are the majority, from birth, with higher male mortality at all stages of life. Also they live longer than males.

They also have the vote, and vote for tall ones with good hair.

You must not know anybody who has been through a less-than-amicable divorce.

There would be less wars? Doubtful, wars would take on a different form.

All my male bosses/clients have been childish even by anarchist standards, taking orders from women however is an idyllic state of nature.

I wouldnt mind being in a world where men are fairly rare, then women would be chasing me and fighting over me and value me lol. It would be like in the anime series of Tenchi Muyo war on Geminar.

OP, where in the Sam Hill do you get these ideas?

In my province theres about 15% more males than femlaes :/
