It's difficult for me to think of a single thing that can't be turned into something political and I don't particularly see myself as a political person.

Can you think of anything that is not political or that cannot be turned political in any way shape or form?

It's political!!

They are talking about putting a tax on sugar. Plus there's all these government guidelines on what we eat.

It's political!!

There is a poem called "Revolutionary Petunias".

It has some political reasoning behind it.

No one has any problem with petunias.

Politics has just become a way to make people do things you like, or ban them from doing things you don't like. Just bunch of groups who think they know best so everyone should be exactly like them. :(

Statism makes everything political.

Say you're walking around on a hot day, and you decide you'd like to buy an extra large soft drink. In a free society this would be nobody's business but yours, and certainly not a political issue.

But now in some places some people have decided that their neighbors shouldn't be allowed to buy a soft drink over a certain size. Presto, the size of your Diet Sprite is now a political issue.

In answer to the OP, maybe the sunrise and sunset and the seasons?

Abstract mathematical objects are "things".

I cannot see a possible way that they can be turned political.

Sunrise, and sunset, are VERY political .....apparently!

At least one person on WP went through a phase of posting videos that promoted belief in geocentrism, and in flat earthism. He suggested that the opposite beliefs (that the earth is (a) round, and (b) smaller than the sun, and (c) goes around the sun rather than the opposite) are all part of a vast conspiracy to undermine religion.

So a sunset aint just pretty colors in the sky anymore!
