The Norwegian welfare, removes children from immigrants who work in Norway.

It was once the high-profile case on how it happened to a Polish marriage residing in Norway, for no reason, just for the fact that the girl was sad.
Then the family helped Krzysztof Rutkowski known Polish detective

http://www.businessinsider.com/krzyszto ... ay-2011-11

His actions led to a small diplomatic crisis in Polish-Norwegian relations. Norwegians accused us of Poland I mean that in this "illegal action" mingled Attache on Military Matters (which is usually also the resident agent of Polish Intelligence ;) )

Norwegians accused Poland that Polish intelligence services helped Rutkowski in illegal "repatriation" of this little girl and her family. But the Polish ambassador in Oslo, he made a firm denial, that Polish diplomatic service nor the Polish government in any way supported the action of Detective Rutkowski, so it will certainly lie and slander

Similarly, in the case of some of the Russian immigrants, like with any reasons why children taken away from them, but in the end they were put them back.
By strange coincidence, the day before he was put these children back to parents, in Norwegian airspace which also is the airspace of NATO entered Russian fighter Mig-29 lifting on standby all the fighters of NATO in Europe, Putin then said that it was only "error in Navigation "and apologizes for the entire situation

That is certainly rather disturbing, I haven't heard anything about this before though so not entirely sure what I think. Any idea why are they abducting the kids? the links you gave didn't explain that I don't think.

These kids are put into care, which is sometimes necessary.

Putting kid in care or fostering should be a last resort, and avoided if at all possible.

However I have distrust of local authorities who often have too many powers, and there are limited powers to appeal.

Also the burden of proof, which leads to a child to be put into permanent protective custody, is often lower than convicting the parents of a crime.

Social services are scared of messing up and child getting killed.

There is nothing there but some accusations. The detail needed to make even a minor evaluation of whether or not he may have an argument is missing.

So what are the details? Why does he feel it necessary to kidnap children? Why shouldn't he go to prison in Norway for 21 years?

What do you think about the use in such situations, so-called. Hard diplomatic means, as supposed to use for my country intelligence services.
It's probably still better than accidental flights by fighter jets over the terrain of a sovereign state ;)

It is not really what the diplomatic services or intelligence are there for. I doubt it was officially sanctioned.

I'm the son of an ex-diplomat.

Where is concerns only expats then consular services should be applied and the polish can request to transfer custody to them.

In the case where citizens are naturalised or there is one Norwegian parent. Then is down to the Norwegians, but polish diplomats can probe. A Norwegian judge can decide on custody.

The abduction is being done by this man. It is not clear where the care order was justified. No evidence.

I have no idea of why the Norwegians saw fit to remove either the Polish kid, or the Russian kid from their homes and take them into custody, but at least in the case of the Russian kid, there was the desire to leave Norway and return to Russia.

In the US when kids are removed from their homes and placed in State custody, there is usually a fairly good reason why this is done. At the same time though, removing a kid from their home and placing them in state custody can actually be worse for the kid.

So immigration is punished by taking your kids away. Maybe this will deter would-be immigrants with kids or who planned to have them while living and working in Norway.

Was this the reason given by the Norwegians? Or was it the spin given by others?

I would like to add to this is local (state) authorities vary greatly.

Protective custody law has some quite controversial aspects. I can only speak for the UK. It is intended to protect the child but is easily abused. The powers are very difficult appeal against, and you have to be careful not appear obstructive.

I have heard of some horror stories, and know some pretty dodgy and corrupt. I even seen such a threat being used for reasons total unrelated to care.

I have also heard of cases where the child has been put in temporary custody becuase the parent voluntary asked for temporary respite under exceptional circumstances and they never got their child back. The justification given is becuase the child has been placed with a family it would be too distressing for the child. I question if this is actually correct long term.

There is a British millionaire that helps couples escape local authorities clutches and relocate to places like Ireland.

There was a major scandal in the UK in the 90s where hysteria in a council social service about a satanic cult in a whole town they took 121 children into custody. The social services had been influenced by (rare) cases in the US. No such cult actually existed, but a combination of their own suggestion when interviewing the children and the false memories the com up when you influence people.

I agree with this completely. Unless there is a clear and present danger to the kid, (IE, Kids parents are Junkies, Drug dealers, Abusing the child either physically or sexually, or otherwise neglecting the child, etc) the Government and it's 'benevolent' case workers should stay the f*** out of a parent's judgement for what is best for their kids.
