I recently discovered I have the ability to find out what anyone who lives in my home county has been formally been charged with or if they've ever been in a lawsuit.

Some of these records go back to the 80's.

I could potentially ruin the lives of (horrible) people with this but it could cause chaos like I can't imagine.

Any idea what I should do?

Such knowledge is best kept to yourself. You could make serious enemies if the info was traced back to you!

Well, such information is likely confidential. A such, you should probably contact the proper authorities and alert them to this serious security breach.

They have this more places than you think, Wisconsin has a statewide one

as for the chaos and lives ruined, not as much as you're thinking

revealing such information is a crime, so best keep it to yourself.
actually, it's best to not even mention that you have the ability at all, or you might get forced to reveal it anyway
