Leave Megyn Kelly ALONE.’ — Beck Defends Megyn Kelly in Ruthless Open Letter to Trump
I usually do not pay much attention to Glenn Beck but this is one of the most thought provoking analysis of the Trump phenomenon I have seen. I would add that attacking Kelly is a popular move because putting "uppity" women in thier place appeals to too many people. Some of it is pure evil misogyny, some of it was caused or enhanced by tone policing etc.

Are you saying that Kelly needs special protection because she has a vagina?
Why do you suppose it was Megyn Kelly, a woman, who was tasked with questioning Trump about his comments on Twitter? What makes you think that Trump's responses would be any different if the questions were raised by a man? Why are you so threatened by Trump that you feel the need to shame his supporters with pathetic attacks on their character and ad hom assertions about their motives for backing Trump?
Considering Trump has responded in kind to any and all critics, regardless of genitalia, you'd have to turn off a significant portion of your brain to genuinely believe that he has a specific agenda against women.
I remember watching a GOP debate where Kelly and Co kept showing lots of clips of Trump. It came across as an obvious stitch up. It was an orchestrated attack on Trump planned in advance by Fox News. I haven't seen them do that to any of the other Republican candidates. The establishment are afraid of a President they'll have no power over.
If Trump has a legitimate complaint against Kelly he is not getting his point across very well. Many people like myself view his attacks as childish and pathetic because that is how they come across.
I was scrolling through the comments and many people were referring this to as an orchestrated sideshow which is probably true. Trump doesn't have to make any legitimate talking points as long as he can keep attacking boogeymen/boogeywomen.
For the record, I think Beck's letter is spot-on. I just think he might have "overplayed his hand" a bit too soon for tactical reasons. The people that really need to hear the message are just going to think that Trump is the one who is being abused (lol - what a joke).
The Times They Are A-Changin...
Fox news has garnered such a negative perception of unreliability that any opinion they deem correct would be viewed as a dissonance of some sort. I doubt the right has any significant clout with respect to the fact that the media is the chief repository of political information of any kind.

Yeah Donald has had public arguments with men like mitt Romney and now he will be attacking Beck
I don't really consider it good or bad. People say certain behaviors are not presidential if don't like the behavior personally.
I guess people are afraid he will burn bridges with people like Putin and Merkel.
I actually think some of his tweets are the most comical part of all of this. He goes on and on and on about her. How mean she is to him..followed by "good thing i don't care!" Which, his not caring is of course why he tweets about her every day.
Oh, and boycott fox! he tweets from his iphone after saying he would stop using his iphone and everyone should boycott them.

I'm afraid he'll burn [bridges with] the entire planet.
Words have consequences -and they unquestionably do for the leader of a country. You can't just spout off whatever you want, whenever you want, regardless of real truth or validity.
He preemptively spouts out that 'the word' was florida elections were being rigged (until he had enough votes).. That the guy who tried to get on stage had isis ties..(he now gets death threats). His son posted the full info of this bernie supporter they claimed was undercover doing a sieg heil at a trump rally. It has since been proven it was Not her and was a trumpet, but she still gets threats, and has her home address posted on social media..
Someone who tells larry king he has bad breath; a woman on the apprentice that it'd be a pretty picture to see her on her knees, heh heh; says that he'd date his daughter if only she weren't related... Aside from the whackadoo in his head, i can't remotely imagine having zero censor and spouting out random thoughts and announcing weak hearsay as facts as being a good thing when discussing tense foreign relations and near wars with other leaders.

She does not need any special protection she has gotten a nice book deal out of the whole thing. In my post I did not mention Trump supporters as a group at all but I said that too many people want to put uppity women in thier place. Misogny is far from limited to Trump supporters. I absolutely believe Trump is trying to broaden his base of support by appealing to the Misogynist voter.
if you want to criticize somebody for group shaming trump supporters look no further then Trump himself who said he could shoot somebody in the middle of 5th avenue and not lose voters. People have said a lot of bad things about Trump supporters nothing has come close to bieng as bad as that.

You're not saying it's aliens, but it's aliens?
You've gone from alluding to trump supporters being misogynists to outright stating it. Of course, at this stage the word misogynist has been devalued to the point where it literally means "person I don't like" or "person I disagree with", but that by no means excuses your continued usage of it as a slanderous attack in a bid to shame.
The difference being that Trump was clearly making a joke. Or is he an advocate of gun violence now too? How about his supporters?
Your burning need to demonise the man - amusing as the resulting nonsense is - says a great deal more about yourself than it does about Trump or any of his supporters.
Indeed. I mean, apart from the intimacy thing (though my intuition is woefully inept when it comes to long-range assessment of interpersonal relationships).

Yes it is overstated and yes the SJW's have made everything offensive these days but misogny does exist and too many people are like that and they exist amoung all groups and supporters of all candidites. Trump is trying to get support from misogynist people who do not support him currently and increase the loyalty of the misogynists amoung his supporters.
As far as his 5th avenue joke there are jokes that are just jokes and there are jokes that hide behind humor to make a seroius point. I believe it was a spontenious observation relating his own surprise that his supporters would not leave him no matter what outrageous thing he said.
Somebody theorized this is a falling out because Kelly and Trump were intimate, who knows but it made me wonder if maybe this fued is prearranged to help both parties. These pre arraigned "fueds" are common in the celebrity world.

Who are these misogynists? What influence will they have over Trump should he become POTUS. Why are hypothetical and immeasurable character traits of Trump's supporters remotely relevant to his campaign?
Trump is trying to get votes, from voters, in a democratic system in which thoughtcrimes do not impact one's right to vote. The only reason to raise this asinine subject of 'OMG MISOGYNY' is to smear, to slander and to shame. Your argument is shamelessly bigoted and, frankly, rather dumb.
I'm well aware of what his point was, yet you seem to have missed it. Likewise, those people who are going to vote for Trump are likely just as aware, agree with him wholeheartedly and recognised the joke for the obvious wink and nod that it was.
The GOP has made no secret of the fact that it does not want Trump to succeed. The concerted attacks from both sides on Trump are part of an ongoing bipartisan campaign to prevent him from becoming the Republican candidate. It's failing hard, and the whole show is utterly, deliciously hilarious.
