So you stowed away on a boat to escape persecution in your land, and discover yourself landed on the shores of America, tasked to take a citizenship test you have not known to prepare for, how will you do?
Feel your heart beating as you guess the answers or face deportation back to certain death.

Or:-

All American citizens are to be spot tested to see if they are illegal aliens, as a current American citizen, will you pass the test or be mistakenly identified as an illegal alien?

Please state wither you are a current American or an unprepared stowaway.

Iam an unprepared stowaway and got 61% 59 out of 96

You have to get at least 58 correct to pass, and I did!

I loved that question:

Quote:
61. What are two rights of everyone living in the United States?

"freedom to petition the government and freedom to disobey traffic laws" ANARCHY!! ! ^^

"freedom of worship and freedom from paying taxes" If it was like that, I think every millionaire of the world, would move to your country. ^^

freedom of speech and freedom of worship

freedom of speech and freedom to run for president

XDDDD

63 right answers, and that with my lousy english... "Hm...a question about branch. I dont think they mean the stuff you do on your bread..." Geography and History was good, but question like "Who is the third paperholder of the "word you dont understand"-office?" ... how are you supposed to know such stuff. ^^

I got 94/96.

One I missed because I misread an answer, the other I actually got wrong--I answered the wrong year for when the constitution was written. Basically trivia. :P

I got 88 out of 96. For the ones I got wrong, the correct answer was always my second choice :)

Got to 70 with only four or five wrong. so I bailed because I had passed the 58 correct mark.

Probabaly woulda got a score in the upper eighties had I stuck it out to the end.

Geography is one of my aspie interests, and history is ez. No problems there.

But was sobered and embarrased by some of the civics questions (like how often we elect HOR Representatives.

It cracked me up that one of the choices for "Name a war we fought in the 1900's was "the War of 1812".

Anyone who picks THAT answer (even if they ace the rest of the test) should be automatically DEPORTED!

Lol!

Thanks for post this.
My friends and I were all talking about this test last night, and I meant to google it.

A forienger should know when the damned country was founded if he/she wants to move here.

It isnt 'trivia'.

GoonSquad: 94

NaturalPlastic: 70

Trivial or not, did a foreigner get the higher score?

Umm.... I'm not a foreigner and I missed the date by two years... That's trivial.

Not knowing basic civics is not trivial. :P

PS

If you knew the contents of the constitution you wouldn't miss all those civics questions.

In all fairness, one could argue that the year it was written isn't controlling (1787), it's when it became legally enforceable after ratification (1789). It only reached the required ratification by 9 states on June 21, 1788.

I am not sure if the OP is aware that individuals who just arrived in the United States don't take a citizenship test right away in all but a very limited number of cases, the test is given later during the citizenship process.
