All I can say is that we know Hillary would be a s**t sandwich as president, Trump at the very least would be an entertaining s**t sandwich and who knows? Maybe he'll actually shake things up for the better or at least break the door down for someone else than can later, the establishment has to be smashed for any non-conventional candidate to ever win.

Well I'd vote trump before I voted Hillary at least a couple days ago. But now I have to see what comes of this allegation that Trump molested a 13 year old a while back or whatever it was.

pure nonsense is what that is, it is a distraction from the fact that Bill Clinton had a much closer relationship with this Jeffrey Epstein even flying on his private jet dubbed "Lolita Express" or whatever ditching Secret Service AT THE SAME TIME as being on the plane with a madam the procured underaged girls for this Epstein. This is real and documented, not just some BS accusation that already got thrown out of court and now picked up likely by a Clinton backed lawyer.

See as much as I don't like the idea of Trump as the future president, I just didn't think he was the child raping type. So I am not sure what to think just yet, I mean if it did happen I say he should never be president, but I don't know. I am begining to wonder if this Pokemon Go game was released by the gov't just to distract people or something, maybe not but I have noticed some strange 'changes' lately. People are all so pre-occupied and sh*t. I mean just today I was walking to the liquor store to get some beer and someone almost ran me right over as I crossed the street even though the pedstrian crossing signal was on. Just before that I thought 'I hope some idiot isn't playing pokemon go while driving and at risk of hitting me due to being more focused on fantasy pokemon than actual surroundings" and sure enough I had to jump out of the way of some idiot. what on earth is the world coming to....I mean at this point apathy is looking very, very appealing.

People have no respect for pedestrians, I don't think they should be allowed to turn while people on the crosswalk at all

I've literally had to run for my life multiple times because of idiots that don't pay attention to what is in front of them or are so impatient they expect me to stand in the middle of street while they get to turn in front of me. That doesn't illicit apathy in me but rage, makes me want to walk around with rocks in my pocket to throw at these peoples windows.

I've only really had that happen one time before, I was just glad I thought to be extra cautious on my walk so I didn't get run over. I think I managed to give that a**hole a dirty look before they drove by though. But yeah literal sh*t I thought about people being careless and used extra catuion across the street which was how I managed to avoid becoming a killed on the road statstic.

apathy is responsible for my insanely cluttered house with wires and papers and gadgets everywhere.
it is responsible for my yard that is like a developing forest.
it is responsible for the layers of dust that accumulate along the skirting boards.
it is responsible for the windows that are difficult to see through after 3 years of not cleaning them.
it is responsible for 2 dirty cars with decaying leaves collected in the space between the bonnet (hood) and the front windscreen.
it is responsible for promoting lack of exercise that results in a deeper level of apathy.

it is responsible for my large executive desk (where i always sit at) having no room on it for anything else until i clear other stuff off.

on my desk now:
3 keyboards
3 monitors.
2 sound cards
masses of stripped wires attaching 4 speaker crossovers in a discontinued experiment.
an empty packet of chips
3 plastic cups fitted into each other.
a bottle of tomato ketchup.
a medical prescription.
4 mouses ("mouses" is the plural for computer mice).
a cordless landline phone.
2 mobile phones (both with flat batteries)
the cable TV box remote
the TV remote.
3 pairs of glasses of varying magnification and all broken.
a plastic cup full of coins.
desk is strewn with coins that overflowed from the cup.
a blood pressure monitor.
a packet of cotton wool balls.
a bottle of disinfectant.
about 20 cd's (some of which are stuck to the table on dried coffee spills)
2 already paid electricity bills.
3 gas bills (paid)
my rates bill.
a telephone book (i never used it and forget why it is there)
some light bulb sockets.
a bottle of worcestershire sauce.
a bottle of barbecue sauce.
a large notepad with frayed pages full of scribbles that relate to only the last month of thinking.
various tubes of glues
a soldering gun.
my modem.
an electric toothbrush box and instruction manual.
a packet of breadcrumbs.
a pair of secateurs (twig cutters)
various junk mail which i have not read yet.
2 christmas cards.
a ventolin inhaler (full) and 3 ventolin inhalers (empty)
a thermometer for measuring my temperature
a multi display weather indicator (shows humidity, temperature, barometric pressure etc)
and dust and grit.

apathy is not the best.

Oh no apathy is not the best, not good at all.....but it can certainly decrease the weight of all the worlds problems being on your shoulder. I mean you could care, or you can pretend not to care act like you enjoy your time while worrying every minute of what is to come next. IDK this election all the s**t it just looks hopeless so I am wondering if it's really worth it to bother about caring.

i do not know much about life in america really. i know that america is the most similar country to australia, and is like our big brother that will protect us in the face of an asian invasion, but really, i don't care who wins the election over there.

the president (as far as i know) does not have the power anyway. the decisions are made by people behind the scenes, and the president is like their puppet.

trump certainly seems brash but ebullient, and clinton seems very shallow and fake.

but if trump wins and he starts to say things that are not considered appropriate by the powers that be, then he will either be ousted or silenced. the same with clinton.

for example, it is the case that if trump wins and he flashes his "wally" at the crowd during his acceptance speech, he will be arrested for obscene exposure and he has no say in the mechanisms of the system.

there are checks and balances that are much greater in influence behind the scenes than is within the power of the puppet spokesman.

but i was only taking the topic title literally and i was considering physical apathy.
i wonder whether there is such a thing as "malignant laziness"?
i will look that up now.

I used to be following the election pretty closely. But it has gotten too depressing. Bernie has basically endorsed Hillary, despite there being evidence for election fraud, and despite all of her obvious crimes. I guess she just gets a free pass for all that, because hardly anyone seems to care.

I hope Trump wins, just to see her reaction. From the very beginning everyone has said it's her election to lose. She's wanted this for so long, and this may be her last chance at the presidency considering her health; if she lost the presidency to Donald Trump of all people... I have a feeling that would be very entertaining to watch

I am about to board the apathy train. I cannot support Trump or Hillary (even though I really liked Bill as president).

And does anybody look at the comments on any given news site?

I just don't see us "going back to medieval times" or reinstating slavery under a GOP president. Nor do I see the Dems creating a utopia where nobody is offended or poor.

As for SCOTUS, I don't see the 2016 election having much bearing on it, aside from the current vacancy. RBG said she would stay until she is 90, in tribute to ex-justice John Paul Stevens, but I have heard nothing from any of the other justices as far as future plans go.

2020 would be the election year to watch for SCOTUS replacements, not 2016.

Also, Democrats can and have appointed conservative justices, and Republicans have appointed liberal justices.

"Maybe he'll actually shake things up for the better..."

I think this is the key reason to vote for Trump. I personally believe he will try to screw things up but will be met at every turn by determined individuals in Congress and elsewhere who's intent will be to blunt his game. His legacy will evaporate.

And so things will be changed from what they were...is this necessarily a bad thing? What policies do you see carried out by the United States you'd agree with and would not change? Politicians seem to be most successful at lining their own pockets and only lip service is paid to changing things for the better.

Right now....being fed the same offal and excuses for war, etc. day-after-day...there is little hope without change.

And this is what the clintons offer: NO CHANGE. More war, more poverty, more self aggrandizement, more cheating, more lies....DO WE REALLY WANT TO LET THEM DIG THEIR CLAWS INTO US EVEN FURTHER...FOR ANOTHER 8 YEARS???

This would be my reason to vote for Trump.
