Trump's Deportation Plan: 'Do the Same Thing' as Obama But 'With a Lot More Energy'

Quote:
What people don't know is that Obama got tremendous numbers of people out of the country. Bush, the same thing. Lots of people were brought out of the country with the existing laws. Well, I'm going to do the same thing

So the new strategy to is to say "I'm not the reckless monster you think I am. I am just as much a flip flopper basing my proposals on poll results of the moment as any other sleazy politician".

Obama has deported over 2 million people in his almost 8 years in office, it's just that we have no effective southern border so those deportations are mostly a waste of time and money when they can just come right back. Obama has allowed this scourge of 'sanctuary cities' which disobey federal law and harbor illegal immigrant criminals, this could and should be ended tomorrow just by taking away all federal funding from these cities that undermine our immigration policies. There has been all these fantastical ridiculous images of what this 'deportation force' would entail but the reality is that the bulk of the problem could actually be taken care of by just simply enforcing our laws but that isn't what La Raza and the Chamber of Commerce want. Dwight Eisenhower deported more than a million illegals in a year back in the 50s with just 750 agents and 300 jeeps focused on the Texas and California borders.

Now I think the oft cited 11 million illegal immigrants is probably closer to other figure of 30 million so realistically the issue won't be solved even in 2 presidential terms but a big chunk can be taken out of that for sure. I've always liked my idea of simply paying illegals to return to the home countries, perhaps after some show of force this would be very attractive and would be cheaper than individually deporting everyone. Get their biometric data and if they come back over the border illegally then it's 5 years in prison for a repeat offense of illegally entering the United States.

The border must be secured whatever we do, this may entail a physical barrier or wall in parts but also manpower. We have these soldiers guarding the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan but we can't even cover our own flank? We should bring soldiers home and have a larger military presence on our southern border. One thing I was thinking about, if we know where these drug kingpins live and operate then we don't we kill them with drones? It's only a natural question to ask given their use against terrorist targets, it seems pretty messed up we had some Hollywood loser like Sean Penn go visit multiple time escapee El Chapo. We don't want certain people dead I suppose, some are more valuable to us alive. The Mexican government, elements of the US government, and these cartels all work together in their beyond lucrative black market industries.

How in the world do you simply "kill them with drones"? Syria is one place, with a civil war already going on, but unless you want a war with Mexico I doubt you could simply waltz there and do whatever you want. Besides, if they weren't caught before that's probably because no one knows where they were... or you could believe 'x' conspiracy theory. Is this something the candidate suggested? Next suggestion will probably be nuking the moon, probably because it blocks the view from his hotels...
