How can anyone define themselves through raw hatred?

The following could obviously be solved by not hanging around social media as much, but reading people's profiles (short descriptions usually, that can still pack a punch) has almost become an apprehensive surprise with "i hate/wish death for <x>!2!" - being the average point of most of these profiles. X, is, of course, any number of things including anything from a single person, to entire races, to 50% of the population in their country, unless of course it's everyone but themselves... I mean, these people can't possibly go outside in the tranquil sun and not have testosterone surging through even if birds sing, right?

I've also noticed some highly ironic ones where, after 10 words or so of hate-filled pus they conclude by saying... "Christian, LOVE JESUS"... I mean, really? Well, I guess, otakus do love imaginary beings and not mix around with real people, but they don't normally employ an engine exclusively designed to run on bile...

Like the "Sith" in Star Wars say, "Your hatred makes you strong".

It makes you feel and act like you're better than others.

I really don't see much hate within peoples' profiled.

The most appropriate bot to highlight this: https://twitter.com/TrumpRetweeps - though obviously not all profiles are similarly hateful, but most are divisive.

My friend, you just made my point for me, about why I do not vote.

People call Trump a hater, and then they turn around and hate on him as viciously as they possibly can.

I also notice you seem to hate me. Nice...
Real nice...

Well, unless you know how to cook hatred, I guess you have to make do with it raw.

Spiderpig, this made my day. Thank you.
I'm not really capable of laughter any more these days, but I certainly laughed on the inside. I was relieved to see that someone is still capable of turning hatred into humor. I'm truly fed up with hateful threads, even though the OP may not see himself as hateful.

MooToo, do you realize you come across in my book as a hater?

I don't doubt I hate someone who hates so many other people, no... but that is the problem, just like violence is created through his words (which has a larger audience)... as I mentioned here it's not something I can quite make logical sense of, but then again I can't make sense of people loving someone despite hating them etc.

Do you love-hate yourself? I love-hate myself. It's hard to describe.

I'm starting to wonder if you've actually listened to any of Trump's speeches. And bear with me, because this is the main reason why I don't vote. Have you truly sat down and listened to one of Trump's speeches from start to finish? I listened to Ted Cruz's speech, even though I couldn't stand him. I made myself listen. I wanted to make sure I was justified in being against Cruz. Only AFTER doing the work, and listening to that tooth-pulling speech of his, did I feel justified in my dislike of the man. But it's still not hate.

Hate is one of the strongest words you can use. You might as well come on here flipping C-bombs and N-bombs. It hurts just seeing a thread title with the word hate.

Hate is strong but his whole campaign was fuelled by it, from McCain to disabled people to females to other races... what else can anyone do but hate him back? He even attacked Cruz's wife despite his own wife simply plagiarizing Michelle Obama...

Will you consider removing that word from your vocabulary and finding alternatives? I've given you examples in my posts. Terms such as: "strong dislike," and let me add another one: "majorly disagree"

It is easier to define one's self or one's position negatively than positively and constructively. I am surprised it is not done more often than it has been.

During the election of 1859 the Southern regions were gripped by anti-Lincoln anti-Yankee feelings. Lincoln won, whereupon several Southern States seceded. The conditions for civil war were rapidly reached thereafter.

In Germany Hitler sold himself primarily through anti-Jewish and anti-Communist positions and actions. He had his bully boys (who later became the SS) bust heads.

I dunno, ask a neo nazi or a klansman, or your average SJW. They're all pretty devoted to hating things.

Oh, they consider it a duty to profess their hate and act on it, and see everyone else as cowardly sheeple with no trace of dignity.

Er, bigmouth, I don't see the relevance of the latter item on that list which is clearly the odd one out...
