I wanted to throw this out here as food for thought. Personally indifferent on Crowley, Case and Fortune are more my speed, but Grant says a lot of things in this excerpt from his Disinformation lecture that ring true. Particularly I've unwittingly brought people into my life that were spitting-image of people I've imagined, one of them I still see several times a week. The universe is perhaps a far loopier and more interesting place than your average empiricist might have you believe.
