So, according to him Clinton's voters are "animals"

What's next, cockroaches? Dust? Some politician on the other side of the world even called his rivals 'amoeba'.

When does the dehumanization end? Do his supporters still agree with everything he says?

He called the people who firebombed an office animals, suggested they were "Dems" and that they were "representing Hillary".

"Animals representing Hillary Clinton and Dems in North Carolina just firebombed our office in Orange County because we are winning"

The perpetrator/s also spray-painted a swastika on the wall, along with a friendly message that read "Nazi Republicans leave town or else".

Unless you have evidence that suggests it was an inside job, Trump's assessment seems to be quite accurate.

At the risk of upsetting the WrongPlanet.net rules against going "off topic," Mootoo, why is a Wiltshire (England?) citizen so enamored with all things politically American?!? I mean, I couldn't care less about Wiltshire (wherever it is situated), and certainly not about its politics. Now, if you would like to swipe at my cousin Queenie with as much vigor as you display toward the leaders of the United States, you have my admiration in spades. But, I have seen no proof of your equal treatment of all comers, merely those within the United States. Why? Are you an Americophile? Do you celebrate Independence Day openly in Wiltshire? Do you agree with Thomas Paine's writings so much that your avocation is keyboard activism in an attempt to persuade the U.S. government to become ... what was it, again?

I ask merely to determine the reason(s) for your enthusiasm in criticizing parts of a nation in which you (apparently) neither live nor have admitted to visiting. I wonder if you would welcome similar criticisms aimed at the elected leaders of your nation, or even your community.

Looking forward to your enlightened reply....

I actually got the impression that he meant the people who firebombed the office specifically were animals, and that they were likely democrats, not that all democrats are animals. That was what I got from that tweet, anyway. Also, that Trump has an obsession for the word and concept of "winning", everything is about "winning" to him--it's a fixation he has.

Clearly he meant to imply all democrats are that, otherwise he wouldn't even have used the two words in a 140-limit sentence.

AspieUtah, not sure why you replied to this thread specifically with this, but I've addressed this before a bit... if you've never noticed I criticize most anyone, and think nationalism is horrible, so there is no way I'd defend any country I live in simply because of the location. With regards to the former paragraphs, yet again, I'm no phile of any country, and was actually not even half as interested in the election four years ago... but I specifically loathe fascism, so I speak out specifically about that (and he is no elected leader so far), regardless of its source.

It's Trump. If he meant to call all democrats animals, he'd do so directly. His one consistent feature is that he lacks a filter between his brain and his mouth (or indeed his keyboard).

Quote:
I criticize most anyone

As long as their name begins with Donald and ends in Trump.

Quote:
but I specifically loathe fascism

What's your definition of fascism?

Mootoo has created plenty of threads complaining about British and European politics.

Some people are interested in global politics. You don't have to be if you don't want to be, but sometimes people will have different interests to you.

What is your definition of fascism? Does it comport with that of Benito Mussolini who defined fascism as a kind of corporate political system inspired by medieval guilds, to place all Italians in various professional organizations or corporations, all under clandestine governmental control. If so, I agree completely. The trouble is that almost all nations, particularly the United States, are now extremely fascist.

Who holds more sway over the functions of most nations, their elected leaders and constitutionally appointed officials (and citizens) blinded by the bread and circus, or the global empires of Apple Inc., Google and its Alphabet Inc., Facebook Inc., RAND Corporation, The Goldman Sachs Group Inc., Time Warner Inc., The Walt Disney Company, News Corporation, Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA, and Viacom Inc. ... not to mention "small" businesses like McDonald's Corporation?

This is why I am confused about your disdain for people like Donald Trump who, while he exhibits some problematic ideas, has made it a priority to call out the globalists he blames for ruining the American middle class ( http://www.cnbc.com/2016/08/02/trump-co ... egist.html http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/pre ... -globalism ). I guess it comes down to the philosophical question, "Can a globalist recognize globalism's faults and defeat it?" If Trump has been disingenuous about this core idea, I haven't seen it. It appears he means what he says about globalism.

I look forward to your descriptive answers.
