I want to escape a potential war with Russia and the US that can end in nuclear arms and the destruction of the world.

I want to escape from the world that liberals worked so hard to ruin for all of us.

I want to escape to my own afterlife, an alternative universe if you will.

I don't feel safe. Am I the only one on the planet with this worldview? I just want to die right now, but I'm not exactly suicidal. I just can't take it anymore. I just want God to save us from being destroyed on our Earth he created. I never had the experiences in the world that many took for granted. Why does God want to discontinue it all as soon as I get to him. Sounds more like a deal-breaker.

It sounds like you're hurting. I advise you to reject everything that you have been told unless you find good evidence of your own. You're about the right age for that process.

Try to be merciful to people who you discover told you stuff that makes no sense in retrospect. They were probably doing their best. Think of all the times when you tried to come up with a good answer and were mistaken.

Yeah dude, relax.

I know things might seem dire, depending on who you talk to. BUT, reality is, the world (probably) won't end no matter who gets elected in a few weeks and we probably won't go to war with Russia.

During the cold war, there were times much more perilous these and we survived...

Also, you DID survive 8 years of Obama didn't you?

Worst case, you'll endure Hillary too.

Kelly, when I was your age the big thing was that all the computers would crash due to the "Y2K bug", a supposed inability of older computer systems to recognize the year "2000" (as opposed to a year that started with "19", like 1999), and that this would cause the end of civilization. Back then, the big discussion medium on the internet was "usenet", and there was a group called something like alt.computers.year2000, and it was filled with survivalists who were prepping for the end.

I was constantly suicidal during this time, and made some really stupid decisions like giving up my apartment downtown to live in a trailer on my grandfather's land, and losing a year of college because I couldn't function. And then...nothing happened. I eventually graduated from college (just before 9/11 which is outside of the scope of this thread), and life went on.

You've got to realize that there are some evil people out there who sell fear in order to make money off it or to fashion themselves as "leaders" of the supposed new society that will emerge after the crash. While there is always the possibility that President Hillary will mess up and cause WW3, I don't think she actually WANTS it in the same way that General Curtis Lemay wanted it during the Cuban Missile Crisis, for the simple fact that the world as it is has made her extremely rich and powerful, and the fact that narcissists and bunker living don't mix because a narcissist needs to be surrounded by yes men.

That said, Cold War 2.0 is always a possibility, but I don't think it will be very popular among the masses like McCarthyism was in the 50s because the masses have a greater variety of news sources now. I can see Hillary trying to block RT's site, only for hackers to find a way around the wall and then passing around the articles in a electronic samizdat way.

Personally, I'm more worried that a handful of angry Trump supporters will form a domestic terrorist group(s) like a far right version of the Montoneros or Shining Path.

Everyone is still talking about WW3. I still don't feel the greatest.
