Democrats haven't reminisced about the good old days of putting down protests with force, encouraged their supporters to attack protesters and offered to pay for their defense if they do, dismissed violence by his supporters as "passion," and implied that their way of life is threatened by an enemy who will resort to anything.
I still remember thinking that those "Doing My Part to Piss Off the Religious Right" bumper stickers were funny, back in the 80s, and also thinking that it was probably going to backfire eventually. In any case, the left has to take responsibility for our share of provocation as well as confront the violent radicals on our side. We just haven't nominated the leader of those radicals for president. The radical left hates Clinton, and no socialist ever considered Obama a socialist.
This topic has become a special interest for me. I'm glad it will be over soon.
I was raised on the christian bible, and have since rejected the ideology as a whole. I still agree with most of the red letter stuff. I've been reading the evangelical press on Trump, and I'm seeing some impressive arguments against him that might move some people who believe in the whole bible as literal truth.
Here are some quotes from Trump written on women's bodies. Link
