After reading some of our own House Bills it's scary to think someone could walk into something like that and not even as a Jr senator but as president without being required to take any kind of course first and proof they have mastered all facets of it!

Nope. Trump is on a huge publicity campaign for his personal brand. How to be a president or how the government works is less than secondary.

Well, he figured out how to run for President.

That just demonstrates what we all already knew about him: that he knows how to do a reality TV show.

Nothing to do with running a government.

Trump should have considered running for Mayor of NYC or Governor of New York so he could get the experience first before running for POTUS.

Govt is a business, which involves public image, budgeting, and the building of useful infrastructure.

What were Hillary's nameable accomplishments, in case I have missed any.

I don't know, but in general I'd rather vote for someone who doesn't really know how government works than for someone who does but who I know will use government to serve interests inimical to my own.



Well that's an indictment of liberal democracy in general.

If The Rump wins, he'll be like Ronald Reagan and if Hillary wins, she'll be the new Richard Nixon.

You want someone who grew up prior to the 80s. Those of us who grew up in the 80s were too young to understand or pay attention to such things.

It isn't since anyone can run for Mayor, state senator or rep, even governor. President is the ceo of politics and its politics, not business. It isn't the same thing. Serving on the state senate prepares them. It's like a training period. If Trump wins I bet he will try to make America more like Russia but people think he is going to save them so that's why they vote for him. If you look closely you will see Trump doesn't have much in common with most Americans. He was born wealthy and privileged, he uses populism to lure underedecuted Caucasian Americans but he has a great education himself. They don't realize Trump is actually upper class preppy. He has fooled them into thinking he is working class with the same values when he is, in and, rich and has the values of elitists. They will be in for quite a surprise when they realize he will be like the ones they can't relate to. The gap between the working class and elite rulers will widen like it has for decades even if they elect Messianic Trump.

And besides, no one stops Trump from running for president but why should they vote for him, based on reason? No one is saying forbid him from running which would be undemocratic. You may say vote Trump solely because he is running against HRC but weren't there more logical choices during the primary? Why has he been allowed to get this far based on his inexperience? People aren't thinking logically.
