I thought this would be a good idea for anyone who might want anonymity----also, it'll give us an overall tally, at-a-glance.

I voted straight ticket Democrat. In the state I live, Republicans are in control and it is nothing but one crises after another. Right now they are in the process of increasing taxes not only to fund public schools that are regarded as already inferior but to pay for home schooling parents and private religious schools. They are trying to create an environmental catastrophe with waste water injection quakes and large scale corporate hog farms. I expect half the state to be swallowed by a huge waste water sink hole.
The state is an economic depression with highest incarceration rates in the US. Obesity and bad health plague many who live here along with addiction. Roads are all torn up so bad it damages vehicles costing millions each year. Toll Roads are being planned on a large scale which will choke development.
So, if you think Republicans will magically make everything okay live where I do a while and see the reality of it. They are not perfect and they definitely love spending those tax dollars!

I voted for Sheev Palpatine for the Senate.

... he has a great "Can-Do" attitude and a lot of fresh anti-establishment ideas...

I'm sure he'll clean up this congressional deadlock in no time...

It's where they inject the waste water from fracking back into the ground. It's caused Arkansas to also have numerous earthquakes related to it.Check out the documentary Gasland. It has migrated to drinking water and now some people have drinking water that catches on fire.

I was well-informed, but didn't want a second Mussolini or Mao on my conscience.

Figured it would be something like that, man made geological issues in the name of profit for big oil companies...I still think environmental health and preserving the planet is more important than filling their pockets.

Hillary for pure never Trump reasons. In any other year it would have been never Hillary. I fully understand that a Hillary victory probably crushes any meaningful hope to change the broken political system and ecomony in the near and medium range future. This is tough as hell as I have been advocating the system needs fundemantal reform from an outsider candidate for 20 years or so. As an autistic my natural inclination is towered outsiders. While I think some of Trump positions are "crazy" some of his instincts or marketing are spot on. For an example we need to accept that a substantial part of the Muslim world is a security threat due to fundamental issues with parts of the religion. White working class and non college educated that are Trumps base have been screwed over by both parties. An argument can be made that they are victims of history and progress has and will move beyond them. Fine, but partly due to the internet/social media the new boss is not the same as the old boss, not only are they being pushed out, but mocked and belittled every step of the way. Unlike 60's styled liberalism the fundamental tenant of today's progressivism is we are smarter then you and you are racist, sexist etc at your core. They do this to the group that were the background of the country when it was most influential. Hillary whatever her personal thoughts if she becomes president is the titular head of the progressive movement.

I just KNOWINGLY voted for this nightmare described above. why? When we elect a president we are in effect an employer hiring an employee. Trump has repeatedly shown that my six year old nephew is way more mature. Maybe at some point in the past Trump was mature despite his well documented failures he has had considerable success in the past. Maybe getting older hardened his worst instincts, maybe the crowds inflated his already inflated ego, whatever the reasons I had to decide about the person I have seen the past 15 months. Of course I fear him with the nuclear button but barring that I can't imagine what a disaster the most insecure politician I have seen in my life and that includes Nixon would be like when negotiating with friend, foe and in between. We have gone over that this man has disregard for the fundamental values that made America great(pun intended) and that I hold dear and more importantly that so many have died, been wounded and scarred for life fighting for.

So there it is, as I see it a choice of two nightmares. So it comes down to my priorities. America survived many a politician that have been scoundrels, liars, cheats, crooks and over all selfish bastards. If the nukes go off we don't survive that, no chance for a do over. And we have not really tried authoritarian rule that is hard to walk back, maybe we can correct that but the cost will probably be enormous before all is said and done. And history is replete with authoritarians taking over with similar rhetoric, taking advantage of similar problems.

So why not an alternative option?. I have voted third party and write in a number of times in the past pissing off election workers in the process. Of all my political positions I have discussed with people not voting for one of the two parties has annoyed and angered people by far the most. This year as said by so many is different. With such fundamental and possibly existential issues involved now is not the time to pussyfoot around or worry about my conscience. Horrible as it is Never Trump means I gotta be with her for the one day that matters.

I'd vote for Jill Stein. I love the sound of that name.
