Ideology undermining education and objectivity
The author and vlogger John Green has a channel called Crash Course aimed at educating high school students.
Unfortunately they fell for the ideology of certain interest groups trying to peddle propaganda rather than objective curriculum. This yet another example of education being undermined by activism.
For this they received much criticism, and in fairness to them the admitted editorial errors, and no longer carry the content.
The original footage apparently can be found on a Chinese site. This is a very good analysis
In the original she attempts to:
1. Poison the well or to telling people these ideas are inherently bad before actually exploring them
2. Misrepresent the theory
3. Misrepresent the the field and its practitioners
4. Use the guilt by association fallacy
5. To discredit without making any arguments as to why these ideas are incorrect
6. Defy basic common sense
Thing is the woman in the video, this isn't her doing. Green explained she was only a mouthpiece, a presenter reading an autoqueue.
However we are seeing more an more of this sort propaganda in education and academia.
