Is the CIA trying to start World War 3?
Turkey has begun to act extremely bizarrely towards Russia, and it looks as if the CIA and/or other elements in the US gov/military may be goading them on in an attempt to force Putin to invade Turkey. Of course, since Turkey is a member of NATO, the rest of NATO, including the US, would be obligated to attack Russia.
The end result would seem to be total nuclear annihilation of the human race, which is apparently OK with the plotters since they think that they would be safe in their self-contained bunkers far underneath the Rocky Mountains, from which their descendants will emerge in 50 years to rebuild the human race with their "superior genes".
The US military has paraded around just west of Russia's borders with former Soviet states. Turkey has shot down a Russian fighter jet that hadn't come near/in Turk airspace. And now a Turk has murdered the Russian ambassador to Turkey, screaming "Allah akbar, remember Syria!" before being killed by police.
It is no secret that elements of the US army have wanted the destruction of Russia for a very long time, going all the way back to the 1917 Russian Revolution, when apparently the US sent troops and other "advisors" to Russia to try to defeat the Bolsheviks, which were at war with the remnants of the Tsarist regime.
Then, you have Patton sitting in Prague, staring down the Red Army, begging Eisenhower for permission to go to war against the USSR, only to have the war-weary Ike turn him down.
When Truman rejected MacArthur's pleas to invade China, MacArthur went ahead and did so anyway, and only Truman's prompt firing of MacArthur averted war.
Next, it's October 1962 and Curtis LeMay is begging JFK to launch the nukes, only for JFK to refuse. Jack's refusal likely saved the human race from extinction, since the Bombs had become so powerful that whatever parts of the world weren't vaporized or burned would have been severely irradiated. The CIA fell back after that one, content for a while with wreaking havoc in the Third World to bleed the USSR with a thousand cuts.
And then it was 1983, where a double whammy hit: one, the near launch of nukes by the Russians based on Politburo paranoia, and two, the shocking movie The Day After, which was so realistic that when Reagan saw it he wrote in his diary that he would defeat the Soviets without war. And the military brass was so impressed when THEY saw it that they fell in line. And Reagan did it.
Now, it's 2016 and the CIA, panicked at the impending failure of crony capitalism, has tried to restart the Cold War, only to be laughed at by the American public, who has elected the ultimate outsider president, a man who wants to shake up the CIA. All attempts at vote rigging have failed.
So, it's 30 days until the Great Pumpkin plows the Fake Hair Express crazy train into The House That Wild Bill Donovan Built. There is much wailing and gnashing of teeth at Langley. The most dangerous animal is the one that is cornered with no way out. Putin has so far proven unwilling to take the poison bait. The clock is ticking. Will there be a direct invasion of Russia? Tick tock...
Maybe it isnt "the CIA".
Maybe its ISIS/Al queda that are trying to start WWIII.
We know from his own correspondences that Bin Ladin was trying provoke the US into launching a quagmire war in "a Muslim country, probably either Somalia, Afganistan, or Iraq" years before 9-11. So provoking outside powers can be a terrorists strategy. ISIS seems to love to make enemies, and to make diverse enemies (they shoot down that russian airline in Egypt a few years ago, and just now assasinated that Russian embassador). At the same time they do terrorist attacks in the USA and in Europe (and in India, and other places). So it could be that they are trying to do Ben Ladin one better, and are purposely trying to goad both superpowers into invading the Middle East at the same time. This not only would cause both superpowers to get stuck in quagmires, but it also cause Russian and US forces to be cheek by jowl in neighboring countries- causing possible confrontations between the two.
I imagine there are some people in the CIA that wouldn't mind it, I don't think they should be trusted and should be taken with a grain of salt with everything they publicly declare. The CIA is inherently political, they were very deeply connected to the Reagan/Bush/Clinton/Bush/Obama presidencies and now Trump is moving away the CIA deep state.
I don't see any evidence to support this. What would the CIA have to gain?
The simpler explanation is more likely. Some Turkish people are angry about the situation in Syria and particularly Putin's war crimes.
If Russia did invade Turkey then I think we'd probably find out that Article 5 doesn't mean anything unless America invokes it.
Maybe its ISIS/Al queda that are trying to start WWIII.
they'll nuke themselves into a khalifat ?
who's arms they're holding, and/or how are they going to profit from "security"-measures ?
do they have that sort of services to sell ?
Not sure what you're asking.
In my vision of what ISIS's vision might be: Russian forces occupy Syria in a quagmire trying prop up Assad, while at the same time US forces are back in neighboring Iraq (like in the W.Bush era) in another quagmire. Russian and American forces accidently shoot down each other's planes or hit each others ground troops thinking that they are hitting insurgents. Meanwhile both superpowers have unpredictable local allies eager to fight the wrong enemies. Russia and the US end up in confrontation in the middle eat. At the same other flashpoints in the world happen like the Ukraine crises erupts a new at the same time. So war between the superpowers is sparked in the middle east, but gets fought elsewhere. Nato and Russia fight in the Ukraine, and Russia and the US nuke each other's homeland (they dont nuke ISIS, nor the middle east, they nuke each other). And the both of the main powers of the "Crusader" west are knocked out in one stroke (and by each others hands!).
Russia isn't going to start a war over this, I very much Turkish officials would want anything to do with such a brazen public assassination no matter how much they dislike Russia's presence in Syria. With Europe cut off and Erdogan becoming more and more distrusting of the West, this rapprochement with Russia is very important to them both economically and strategically but there are a lot of people that don't want this rapprochement to happen. The CIA most definitely has involved itself in the 'Arab Spring' and past Turkish coup attempts so it seems fairly possible that they've been up to some funny business in Turkey recently. The more I learn about Gulen movement and organizations, the more it stinks. I actually attended one of his charter schools in the US for a short time and in retrospect it was most definitely a front for something. I think this assassination was probably done by an opportunist who was radicalized and acted upon it but I guess we'll see.
