The folks that helped bring us the President with the lowest approval ratings at inauguration time in history are patting themselves on the back again.

I was watching Bill Maher tonight and the progressives were repeating what I have heard elsewhere. We are finished crying now we are going fight Trump everywhere every minute. This will make him go more crazy and he will be impeached. It got the Tea Party what it wanted so it will work for us.

First of all they are not the Tea Party just trying to pass as them. Obama is a quiet, introspective somewhat idealistic person. Trump is not that at all. A lot of the progressives are from the cities. Most of us from big metro areas know not to go and continually poke the guy raving and screaming. If I continually poked and bothered the raving guy on the street the consequences would be likely be me being injured. Trump has the nuclear football briefcase near him at all times so the potential consequences are a lot more serious.

Remember right after Trump won they were talking about how they were not going to dismiss the "flyover" people again. That did not last long. They were going on and on about how the Trump is not a legitimate President because Putin rigged the election. In order to influence people you got to exploit something that is there. In the 2016 election it was a segment of the population that was sick of being passed by and mocked for it. On Maher's show they were making fun of the opioid epidemic in areas that decided the election for Trump. The point being made was that progressives are better drug users because they are smarter people (SMH)

My bar for success in the next 4 to 8 years is set as low as can be. Call me a Debbie Downer but my bar for success is avoidance of nuclear war set off by a Trump temper tantrum. I hope those of you who believe this post should be a prime example to use in the Trump Derangement Syndrome thread are right.

To be honest I am liking what Chuck Schumer is pledging to do at the moment its what the country needs to prevent the country from taking some very conservative policies. I like his idea of trying to block the Supreme Court Nominees, it is good as if we let the supreme court be taken by the Republicans they can influence the country's policies for a generation.

Trump is much smarter than his opponents who seem incapable from learning from their mistakes and looking in the mirror, they accept no fault of their own for their current predicament. Trump always anticipates several moves ahead by his opponent, we like to joke that he's playing 4D chess while you're stuck playing 2D tic-tac-toe. The Democratic Party is in a bad place right no, almost all the voices in their party are septuagenarians who have been in Washington for decades and they have little way of bench to draw the next generation from. Democrats will never win a national election again without Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and they are doing nothing to rectify that. What changes have the Democrats made at all since the election? I really hope they do pick Keith Ellison as party leader, it will be the biggest mistake they ever make. A little triangulation would reduce to Democrats to a minority party for a generation, Trump just needs to remember the people that got him elected and I don't think he has or will.

I'd suggest studying Charlie Wilson's War to learn how government really works--the real story of how we got the Soviets out of Afghanistan.

This is a time of opportunity for people who want to get into politics of either party. No matter what Trump says, a lot of new people will be required to run the Federal government. And, as people move from unpaid volunteers to paid positions, more volunteers will be needed for those unpaid but necessary jobs.

Sure bringing jobs back, cutting spending, fixing the broken health insurance, protecting a person's ability to protect themselves, leaving gay marriage alone. How terrible! Seriously, the guy keeps bringing jobs back. Not only has he already brought jobs back, but a lot of jobs. Oh, but it would of been better if he didn't win since he wears red underwear. I still have concern with people like Sessions, who I actually don't like; however him just bringing jobs back is a testament to how much better he is than Obama, or Bush, or Clinton, or even Regan.

Seems to me that Trump likes model of Asian families in which everyone works. Everyone finds some way to contribute to the family business.
