I think that this ban would have only met approval after whatever attack it's trying to prevent occurred.

If there had been a reason for the ban it would have been a good idea, but discrimination based on a person's religion is not going to make make it through the Supreme Court.

How can Islamic jihadists be separated from religion though?

Reuters: Trump lambastes judge who lifts travel ban, vows to fight

The Justice Department is expected to quickly argue in court to reverse a restraining order made by Robart in Seattle late on Friday. The judge appointed by former Republican President George W. Bush questioned the constitutionality of Trump's order.

"The opinion of this so-called judge, which essentially takes law-enforcement away from our country, is ridiculous and will be overturned!" Trump said on Twitter early on Saturday. Trump has said "extreme vetting" of refugees and immigrants is needed to prevent terrorist attacks.


The Justice Dept. has filed their response.

It would take a very bloody military coup for that to happen in Texas. Gov. Abbott and especially Lt. Gov. Patrick would have to be overthrown by force.

The Court of Appeals decided against Trump.

Now the Government must appeal to the Supreme Court.

9th Circuit is filled with left wing activist judges, it's completely and unarguably legal and they have no authority to make the ruling that they made. ANYBODY familiar with the law and the constitution will know the legality of Trump's executive order. Judges are not in charge of our foreign policy for a reason, they do not receive classified information and have no idea what threats face the US. The president has the absolute authority to eject enemy aliens from the country, this is a right reserved by the US president going back to the time of John Adams and Thomas Jefferson. Somebody make a legal argument, I'd honestly love to hear it.
