Uhh just watching from a distance at the disaster, I don't even know what is going on anymore...I mean our president is a little child and his whole administration is so incompetent. Just trying to focus more on what I want to do with my life, rather than getting pissed at this clown show going on. I don't even know what to expect if Trump gets impeached then we get pence so not like that would be any better. Slowly giving into complete apathy over trying to figure it all out...

Apathy or at least detachment has kept me from getting worked up in all of this for the most part.

I'll reluctantly call that one of the "perks" of my autism - detachment ftw.

I don't want to be too detatched, but today my boyfriend was telling me some stuff...and I responded but in my head it was like...'yeah, meh....whatever.' Like I had to pretend interest because anymore I am just weary of it...like 'yeah what's new today did trump sh*t his pants, did someone else....who knows. ' Bleh I just don't know how to pay attention to it without being stupidly negative.

I have reached a certain level of detachment too. I think it's a survival mechanism. Watching Trump speak makes me physically nauseous. He is a child. Always blaming someone else.

It will resolve itself though, this much chaos cannot sustain itself.

Excuse me but the government has ALWAYS been nothing more than a show of insanity.
ESPECIALLY since 9/11. Just you wait until those FEMA Camp people start rounding everyone up -- oh wait...

This is true, but since they have always been government "insiders", it was ok for them to act in that manner. Now that Trump is in - an "outsider", it's all "chaotic". More BS if you ask me.

Just say you don't feel like talking about it right now. I've been saying that a lot lately since I have school and some other misfortunate things have happened along with working a lot of extra hours.

Nunes is a stooge.

Nunes' name brings to mind when in late 1960s we lived in Rhode Island Mom and Dad bought a car from a dealer named Nunes of Newport and I remember it being said that everyone knew it was run by the Mafia and nobody cared that it was. I don't remember how Nunes was pronounced there and then; what I do remember is in later years after we moved to another state hearing it pronounced like dunes in sand dunes would be.

I thought Trump was going to 'drain the swamp' looks like he's merely part of the swamp....

Trump can't drain a swamp which never existed.

Quote:
The Myth That Washington Was a Swamp Will Never Go Away
It makes for a catchy slogan used by politicians of all persuasions, but there’s little truth to it
...
Like many other early American cities such as Philadelphia and Cincinnati, Washington was built on a firm and dry riverbank. The land sloped steadily upward away from the Potomac between Rock Creek and the Anacostia River, then called the Eastern Branch of the Potomac.
...
In 1826, Anne Royall, possibly the first female professional journalist in the United States and author of “Sketches of History, Life and Manners, in the United States,” described “the elevated site of the city; its undulating surface, covered with very handsome buildings.” She continued her inventory of the city without mentioning a single swamp and concluded, perhaps with too much enthusiasm, that “it is not in the power of imagination to conceive a scene so replete with every species of beauty.”

Yes there are many other things to discuss in the world outside of politics, but yeah I'm working on getting a job and keeping my head straight wilst doing so...trying to follow all the political stuff doesn't seem to help that. Besides I'll be better at involving myself with real causes I care about, by working on confidence and work skills and such. Maybe someday I can do something cool like save abused animals from a**hole animal abusers. Or help wild animals that have been harmed by human carelessness...such as hunters using led bullets which poison eagles(and probably any animals that scavange who have the misfortune of eating animals shot with that which the humans failed to collect. I am not opposed to hunting meat mind you, but probably best not to use bullets with led and you damn well better use the meat not just be hunting for 'trophies' at least in my opinion.
