Would you engage in vigilante justice against, say, greedy companies, nasty politicians, etc if

1.) You were certain that the powers that be wouldn't do anything about it...at least not for a very LONG time, if ever.
2.) You knew that your revenge on the guilty would go unpunished or that you'd get away with it

Also, if you weren't willing to go through with the "mob justice" yourself, would you be willing, say, to publish certain articles online in blog, etc, publications to try and bring about said mob justice by inciting the public? (Again, assuming that you knew that the powers that be would do zilch and that you'd get away with your actions.)

Just to clarify, this is all hypothetical, not an attempt to incite violence.

Violence, ultimately, is a tool. If I had valid reasons to use violence, I would use it. This applies to rounding up support for any particular movement, as well, even movements involving violence. If, say, there were increasingly intense rhetoric regarding an insurrection that I happened to agree with, I would, ultimately, if I felt strongly enough and everything seemed justified, be likely to either participate directly or support via writing.

No. I respect laws, and violence is only for defense of life from immediate threat.
