The one apparently Trump referenced that didn't actually happen...apparently now he just meant that there has been some horrific crime increase since Sweden has let refugees in. However their cirme data does not support the theory that terrorist attacks have increased greatly since letting refugees in according to articles I have read.

For one so blatantly opposed to fake news this is surprising...lol

it is quite a surprise.
i think he is not used to curbing his utterances, since being a CEO of all his companies, people can only just raise their eyebrows at his absurd tirades or be sacked.

it is not the same when one is the president. he is answerable to the whole of america and he is in the subordinate position in that respect.

it may be argued that muslims and non swedish cultured people are annoying the indigenous arian swedes due to the fact they think they are being swamped by them, but for trump to assert that some terrorist activity has happened there recently is totally unsubstantiable (that word apparently does not exist).

he had better be careful and speak only proven words and not shoot his mouth off half cocked because he is not in front of his sycophantic board members now.

he is in front of the cameras and microphones of the world.

It was most likely an alternative terror attack. That's how things go in the new order and you gotta keep up with the times.

Or maybe it was just a senior citizen having a brain fart.

What is an alternative terror attack?

Let's hope the senior citizen that's our POTUS doesn't have a brain fart near any buttons in the war room.

I've noticed a trend lately of men trying to scare women with the threat of rape. Not just here, but with real life friends as well. It's pathetic.

It's not about being scared, it's the truth regardless of your hard-headed denial of such. There are cover-ups of crimes because of political-correctness, go look up the Rotterdam scandal. Islam is a backward religion that oppresses women, this is a undeniable fact and for some reason people are trying to say this is racist which makes no sense since these same people usually are the biggest critics of Christianity. It's very easy to be a 'progressive' when you are immune or naive of the effects of the policies that are being implemented.

I was doing a parody of Kellyanne Conway's "alternative facts" statement.

It's about trying to manipulate people's behaviour through fear. Trump does this all time.

There simply is no evidence of anything happening in Sweden at the time Trump referenced. He's talking out of his ass to try to scare people into accepting his totalitarian regime.

Actually he got it from news sources, rather than "taking it out of his ass" as you so eloquently phrased it.

I still am unable to understand how it makes his gaff better if he was telling a crowd of people what he had watched on television the night before. He has access to all the information gathered by the government, but he's sitting in his bathrobe watching cable news to find out what's going on... and then he chats about it at a rally as if his newswatching is of interest.

If there is a legitimate threat then how is it manipulation or fear mongering?

I see it as essentially the same as somebody denying the gang problem and violence in Chicago, real easy to say from an ivory tower but it's definitely real to the people that have to actually live in these places.

I think we all have overestimated the competence of those in government, they do not have any more superior intelligence gathering capabilities than exactly that. How often did the Obama administration source some of their talking points particularly on foreign policy to Facebook posts? It was quite often, off the top of my head I can say Benghazi which blamed on a Youtube video and also numerous times in Ukraine & Syria. With the internet people have a lot of the same data compiling capabilities as the so called spies do, they do not have the exclusive control of information anymore. They are not superior beings to common folks no matter how much they think they are.

Sean Spicer has already made it clear that the President doesn't currently own a bathrobe.
