Is that thumbnail some kind of Freudian slip?
We are looking for life so we can bomb them with our favorite fancy toy which goes boom?

Ha! I have to admit, with all the rage about missile strikes recently, that's pretty funny.

But, also, due to all that aforementioned rage, it's likely that the moron in charge of the story accidentally inserted a wrong thumbnail, one that was probably meant for a story on the Afghan missile strike and the MOAB

I've often found the moron to be Google's AI. I have some screenshots. Things like somewhere on the planet is a political party which goes by Nasa and it has several times ended up in space news. "Universe, a mobile only website builder" ended up in space news.
"Dont get your 'ships' confused, relationships, partnerships, companionships, ownership, but unfortunately and all too often ..." ended up in ships and seafaring news.
"Hong Kong may soon impose minimum floor area for nano flats" ended up in nanotechnology news.
And other incredibly amateurish mistakes like that.
I used the feedback function and said things like "And this is the same Google which thinks itself bright enough to make driverless cars, really? If this is the quality of your AI there ain't no way in hell I'm going to risk my life in one of your cars."

Wow, to think that some hilarious mistakes like those can come from one of the leading tech companies in the world!

Anyways, this actually makes some bit of sense, because from what I've seen, moderation on google's websites seems to be either minimal or outright nonexistent. Youtube is a brilliant example of this.

Just now, here's another stupid mistake.
We're talking preschool level logic here

Mistakes happen.

A couple of decades ago a newspaper got the captions of two cartoons mixed up. One was "Dennis the Menace", the other was "The Far Side".

The "Far Side" didnt benefit much from the mix up, but that botched version of "Dennis the Menace" was quite mind bending.

And of course there are more recent examples like this recent report about the summit between Trump and Netanyahu on the front page of a Dominican newspaper. Netanyahu is correctly labeled as "Netanyahu", but the person over the caption "Trump" is not the real Trump.
