Climate change science; invented by the same guy who invented the internet <joke>

But I'm confused. Am I going to need an air conditioner or a furnace in the future? cause...

During the 1960s, Lake Erie was so polluted that there were fires on it, caused by the combustible materials in the water.

If that prediction of a lower solar cycle is true, then it would mean slower climate changes that allow us to get more time for getting CO2 free technologies and planting trees. We are unlikely get a mini ice age for the next centuries, not in the situation we are right now.

edit: Turn out that a solar minimum may not make a great difference. https://www.forbes.com/sites/matthewfrancis/2015/07/17/no-sunspots-will-not-cause-a-new-ice-age/#2b1843ff6df7

Ah but I bet I can find something else since I barely had to look to find that one.

A thing I wonder about though. If a pie chart was made representing the earth. Starting out with a blue wedge representing all the oceans and other water. Then a brown wedge for all the uninhabited land. And then a green wedge for all the inhabited areas where there's limited C02 emissions. Just whittle all that down to the areas where C02 emissions are prevalent represented by a black wedge. I wonder just how thin that wedge would be.
