Egalitarianism
I have always found it rather fascinating. Ever since The French Revolution, most have been fixated on the idea of Egalitarianism. Indeed, though arguably the Soviet Communists and the Chinese Communists carried out many, many of the very same types of military atrocities and crimes against Humanity, usually associated with the National Socialists of Germany, the Soviet Communists and the Chinese Communists claimed to do what they did, in the name of Egalitarianism.
The National Socialists, and Fascists in general, were easier to hate and dread, since they were basically Ancient people living in Modern Times. Indeed, neither Adolf Hitler nor Benito Mussolini would have been too out of place in The Roman Empire, Ancient Greece, Assyria, Babylon, or even Ancient Egypt. One is dealing with a whole different mindset and worldview, with the Fascists.
The basic attitude that the Liberal Democracies had toward Communists was simply, though they may be S.O.B.,s they are our S.O.B.'s. After all, Communists claim to be part of the Modern, and hence, Egalitarian, ideological worldview.
This is utter bollocks.
Social democrats and liberals have been fierce opponents of Leninism ever since it first emerged.
If Lenin had truly been an egalitarian, he would have supported democracy.
Also, he would not have written this.

Don't buy into the reactionary pig slop. We leftists knew that Lenin was fraud from the beginning.

Well, then there is that most interesting figure, Frederick Nietzsche. He, after all, believed that Society was actually meant to be hierarchical. That is precisely why he was so fixated on The Code of Manu, of the Indian Subcontinent. He too, is what i would describe as one of The Ancients. That is, an Ancient person, living in Modern Times.
He also had an interesting, even intriguing, idea. He claimed that the early Christians deconstructed the entire Ideological Worldview of the Ancient Roman Empire, by saying that what they called Bad was actually Good, and what they called Good was actually Evil. This, of course, is called "The Transvaluation of all Values." Everything switched since then, according to that philosopher.
And if I may digress, America was certainly not based upon The Christian Religion. Rather, Americanism, I would argue here, is based upon three things. They are as follows:
These, of course, I would call The Three Pillars of the Ideological Worldview of Americanism.
Above all, I believe in democracy. That's why my sig contains a link to represent.us. The biggest threat to democracy in the world today is legal corruption.
I also believe that oppressed people, in general, have the right to fight back against illegitimate forms of authority.

I might as well interest you in knowing precisely what I mean when I speak about Americanism. Indeed, Americanism is based upon Deism. And what precisely is Deism, one may ask? Deism, of course, is based on the idea that though there really is a God in Heaven, none of the Abrahamic Holy Books-- whether Judaism or Christianity or Islam-- truly represent Him. No, Deists are as obsessed with the ugliness and short comings of Sacred Texts as any atheist or agnostics!
Deism, of course, led right to the doctrine of The Separation of Church and State, which just as importantly led to the entire conception of the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. After all, in the olden days, back in Great Britain, any who did not belong to The Church of England suffered persecution. They, the other branches of Christianity, were termed non-Conformists. Hopefully, there is more tolerance for different religious beliefs, or lack thereof, these days.
And before The 14th Amendment, many of The States did have their own Official Churches. This, of course, was one of the many, many problems which actually led to The Civil War, if I am not too mistaken. And again, if I am not too mistaken, those in favor of Slavery, in The South, and elsewhere, implemented certain passages of The Old Testament of the Holy Bible to rationalize their entire position.
Nietzsche wasn't a good philosopher. You can't be a good philosopher if you get most of your "information" from introspection.
In reality, humans are naturally democratic. Hierarchies emerge when one group of people own the earth's natural resources and have the best weapons. This is what Nietzsche failed to realize.
