all my life dogs have snapped at me. 
cats OTOH have always glommed onto me but I have allergy to their dander. I like the comment about not being able to carry a Doberman in one's pocket

well, maybe not. my uncle's girlfriend has a 13 year old labrador retriever who spends pretty much all his time in her BMW 525i wagon. he doesn't move around a lot anymore because of his age and it seems he's pretty happy there.

One of the worst burglars I remember is the "meat hook killer".
He put a meat hook through a woman's head as she opened her house door.
I thought, how weird and gruesome, a hook.
I remember the the judge told him in court, "You're a scary guy".
