Well, if the universe is infinite it is likely that somewhere a creature similar in appearance to the unicorn has evolved. It would be a creature that resembles a unicorn, if not a literal unicorn.

Centuries ago the English word "unicorn" was sometimes used to mean "a single horned rhinoceros". So in that sense unicorns DO exist (though they may be an endangered species).

Not sure if birth defect or lost one horn and the other grew in weirdly. Either way: unicorn!
