Really? A foreign diplomat saying he has the power to make the media push a story to "take down" a leading government figure? Saying he has £1 million pounds at his disposal?

Anyway, I'm not familiar with your source. Is it trustworthy? Is it one of the mainstream media sources, or one of the "alternative" ones? If mainstream then it is really unusual for them to report something like this.
