Will the increasing tensions between the U.S. and Russia in Syria cause a third world war? Personally, I don't think so, but I'm interested in knowing what others have to say on this matter.

Salt. That's the wisdom of my great-grandmother who survived 3 wars and a revolution.

Nah. It's a bunch of BS. Both Trump and Putin understand that the sabre rattling between them is strictly for domestic consumption. There's an implied wink and nod. Just a couple megalomaniac narcissists playing their role for their respective audience. US never interfered when Russia attacked the FSA, Russia won't do s**t if the US attacks Syria. Russia didn't do anything last time it happened, they won't do anything this time either.

If Syria did orchestrate a chemical attack, it was a gift to Trump. He gets to exact his righteous vengeance on the monster Assad and he no longer seems like such a bad guy anymore. It doesn't really take a lot of courage to call the shots on something like this. It's just a free ego boost. Regardless of political affiliation, most Americans have no sympathy for the Assad regime and the critical pundits on CNN will just look silly criticizing every single thing he does no matter what it is. Its win-win for Trump.

Hey! I have survived....3 wars too. The 1975-1990 civil war, including Israel invasion on 82 (I was born that year), Operation Grapes of Wrath in 1996, and July war 2006.

A survival trip: Olive oil as a preserving solution, in long power outage periods you can preserve, yogurt balls, cheese, oily fish and meat by socking them in olive oil jars - they can survive months.

Thanks for the tip :>
I guess olive oil is quite expensive here as olive trees don't grow in Poland – on the other hand, salt is very cheap here and we have no water shortages. It seems, survival tips depend on climate.
But thanks, gathering knowledge is always useful!

What would you do with just flour? It’s a main ingredient in a lot of things but alone it’s worthless.

I make homemade pastries, like the samosas.

But wouldn’t you need sugar, baking powder, eggs and milk?

For the plainest noodles? No. A pinch od salt and water. Eggs and/or some oil can be added but you can do without them in case of real shortages.

If only my bloc's shelter is big enough for a cow and chickens, I would be able to survive by baking....muffins!

Feeding the cow and her farts may be problematic tho...hmm.
