Sure, but I say go socialism!. I think most autistics opposed to it are thinking about authoritarianism which does not have to be a part of socialism.

I'm an intelligent person so of course I oppose socialism. It's general, core principal is simply, "I'm breathing therefore you owe me stuff."

Me. I don't feel that anybody owes me something just because I'm on the spectrum.
It's stupid that minorities who don't agree with leftism or government welfare and whatever other programs get flack for not being a "real" black/female/latino/whatever minority group or isolated by others in their group.

I've never liked the "internalized discrimination" argument either.

Socialism ... PFEH!

Imagine that you have two cows. The Socialist government takes them and puts them in a barn with everyone else's cows. Ex-chicken farmers care for all of the cows. You have to take care of the chickens the government took from the chicken farmers. The government gives you as much milk and eggs as their regulations say you need, and they say that you need one egg and 500ml of milk each day. The egg and milk are delivered to an unrefrigerated post-office box on the other side of town. You have only enough bus fare to take you there, so you have to sell either the egg or the milk to have enough money to get back home before either the milk curdles or the egg gets rotten. You get arrested for selling goods on the black market, and you are sent to the gulag to labor in the coal mines. Your clothing is confiscated, and you are issued one threadbare linen sheet to wear. You are forbidden to burn coal for warmth, so you burn the sheet. You die naked, at night, alone, and in the rain. Nobody cares.

Yeah, I don't know if it's a great argument.
BTW, didn't you post here that you agreed with socialism?

In order to agree with something in general, one does not have to agree with specific aspects of that general idea.

One can agree with socialism, but not agree with certain aspects of it.

Just as one can agree with  Hitler  Trump, but not agree with certain aspects of his alleged morality.

The parts define the whole. Otherwise, it's like saying "Except for all of those rapes and murders, our crime rate have been essentially zero!"

Socialism sucks, in whole and in part -- full stop.

I agree with socialism----as a Eutopian idea.

It doesn't work in the "real world" in its "purest" form. It's impossible, simply because of Human Nature.

What works better is a complement between socialism and capitalism.

Many people with autism happen to be opposed to socialism.

What's the point of talking about socialism without starting with a good definition of socialism? Workers' self management doesn't require state controlled industry.

Neither does having the inmates run the asylum.

The point is that while some aspects of Socialism might be attractive to some people, other aspects of Socialism are unattractive -- like the loss of personal initiative when everyone is guaranteed a minimum livable income, or the loss of personal identity when the group identity takes precedence.

Sure ... give me a livable stipend, a 2500 square foot house, free transportation, free food, free medical care, and free education, and I'll jump on the Socialist bandwagon ... but tell me that I can only spend my stipend on certain things, that I must share my house with strangers, that I can drive only on certain days within a certain radius of my home, that I can only eat union-grown / union-processed / union-delivered food, that a check-up is covered but all surgery is elective, and that the only educational path open to me is hairdressing school, and I'll get behind the wheel of a Capitalist Cadillac so fast that the sonic boom of my departure would leave you permanently deaf.

"Workers' self-management" often leads to bad things happening to us autistic folk.

And to people who are "different" in general.

I assume that you've read Orwell's "Animal Farm" ...
