A circle is not a three-dimensional shape. Circles are two-dimensional.

Additionally, putting a tent over the earth "like a canopy" only makes sense if the earth is flat.

Therefore, the earth must be a flat circle.

Do you know who else believed in the round earth theory? Hitler!

It's actually true that the Earth is not truly round.

It is spheroid, rather than spherical.

Round earthism is STILL A LIE!! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !

The Illuminatti probably changed all of the Bible translations to read "sphere" when it originally read "tennis court".

From the pov of a muon, neutrino, or photon, traveling from the sun the earth would be flat.

Yeah. That God putting a canopy over something wouldn't make much sense as an image if that something were a three D sphere.

SO! The Bible IS saying that the Earth is FLAT!

So it must be flat!

Funny that you mention Hitler because(sarcasm aside) Hitler bought into a certain flakey variant of the round earth theory:the belief that the Earth is hollow. And further- that we live on the INSIDE surface of the hollow earth (the sky above is really inside the hollow earth. Countries on the other side of the earth are really on the other side of the inside surface of the earth. So China might be right above our heads (beyond the sun and the moon etc). And he even invested in an intelligence scheme to look through the night sky with telescopes to spy on other countries by pointing a telescope straight up!

Truth be told the folks at Google are just really bad cartographers. They hate cold weather so they shortened their excursions above and below the 45th parallels by telling us the world was a globe and that there was less landmass up there. More land near the equator means more time snorkeling in Cancun, surfing in Hawaii, taking ayahuasca in Brazil, and writing it off as business expenses.

Some people just love arguing just for the sake of arguing. I HATE it. :x

But anyway... technically, it isn't perfectly round. It's flatter in some spots and bulgier in others, but it's round enough for me.

What's next, that the Earth we live has been a whole different planet all this time? Water is dry, not wet? The sky is really green and we just think it looks blue? I don't want to live in a world where people literally kill each other over this. :(

Wow, you learn something new every day.

Re. the flatness. The Hebrew word meant sphere, so it's not the shape that's wrong it's the word image for the "heavens" that's a bit strange. I lurk here sometimes and I like the little things people point out that I hadn't noticed myself. Gonna look that one up and see what I find.

Bringing up the original Hebrew Bible isn't always necessary.

After all, most American Christians believe that God speaks English and that the King James Bible is the original version.
