at this point i'd be amazed if the democrats didn't LOSE seats. what a world where the repugnicants are evil but cleverly apt while the democrats are decent but inept.

we are at or near the limit of the practicalness of doing this. we've kicked the can as far as it can be kicked. and the GOP knows this, this is their plan to force elimination of social programs so that enough of us can starve or die of untreated sickness to satisfy their pathologically megalomaniacal need to be superior beings by getting rid of wholesale quantities of the rest of us.

The Democrats kicked it down the road too and they were the first to take money from social security to spend on other stuff.

the democrats are not the ones recklessly trying to bankrupt the nation simply to enrich themselves at the expense of the 99% while the GOP demonstrably and by their own admission are doing just that. ever research the phrase "starving the beast"? why continue to slavishly defend a party that really does NOT have your best interests at heart?

They'll make up for it with workcamps.

Yes they are. Democrats and republicans are the same. Wish you’d open your eyes

I know which party gave me health care and which party refused to consider it for the better part of a century. I know which party gave me [in theory at least] social security and the 40 hour week. it was not the GOP. my eyes are open. i'm wondering about your eyes, which views everything through the prism of illusory gun rights which the GOP will surely take away at a time of their choosing.

"Should homeless people be rounded up and forced into work camps? Thus providing business with a supply of cheaper labor".

Interestingly, we already do.

1. Make homelessness a crime.
2. Lock them up.
3. Use private prisons with cheap prison labor system for a business.

if the GOP have their way, we would emulate soviet Russia in this regard. we routinely [via quasi-legal artifice] press-ganged black folk in the south leading up to WW2 ("slavery by another name"). IMHO this is morally bankrupt at the very least. the people spouting "constitution this" and "constitution that"* who also espouse this revival of slavery are hypocrites.

*Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."
