Kavanaugh rape accuser admits she made her story up.

Whelp, I don't trust the left anymore. But I still hate the right.

The left are liars and the right are a**holes. Between the two of them this country is being handed to hell in a handbasket.

I would not conclude categorically that "the left are liars." Political propaganda of ALL stripes should be taken with a grain of salt and fact-checked.

Anyhow, this particular news story is very weird. I just now Googled for other sources, such as this Daily Beast story. It appears that "Jane Doe," whom Judy Munro-Leighton claimed to be, was actually yet another person whose identity (and veracity, or lack thereof) apparently remains unknown. Now, I can imagine all sorts of conceivable motives for making a false accusation, but what I don't understand is why someone would falsely claim the identity of another, previous accuser, rather than just make one's own fresh accusations as a distinct additional person.

They are both very much so both.

If multiple news agencies from various ideological stances reported this story, it would carry a bit more credibility.

They have to be to toe the party line even if they don't believe it themselves...

Those that were too honest such at Abbot, Hewson and Turnball all got shafted until they realised that honesty and integrity are mill stones around a politician's neck...
Politics is a dirty, dirty, did I say dirty? business...
You have to be a "special" person to be one...

It was a hoot when Assange released confidential transcripts of politicians and diplomats which indicated they would say one thing to the public and another behind the scene...
Boy were they pissed and had it in for him, especially the yanks...Bwahahaha...

I suppose this reinforces that while we should believe most women generally speaking we should also be a bit skeptical when a really big political football - like a SCOTUS seat - is involved. If anything the trick is just on most people's decency, ie. they can't imagine being that much of a hack to do such a thing themselves and they extend that assumption of decency to the people around them.
