hmm. this was kind of .... I don't know.... - except, I liked how they formulated our conception of reality as a tool to shape reality, rather than a description of it. I think that's what Graham Harman is trying to say, too, with his object oriented ontology.
personally, I have come to consider everything a form of poetry - yes, also scientific descriptions - with different levels of abstraction and artistic freedom.
