It's certainly worth pondering if Bernie has "had his moment". If AOC was old enough to run for president, I would agree 100% that Bernie would be obsolete as I think many of Bernie's younger supporters would discard him for someone they would feel, based on age, etc to be more of a spokesperson for them.
I think leading up to the DFL primaries of 2016 Bernie was viewed by many younger Bernie supporters as a cool grandpa type who they thought had radically refreshing ideas. With the wave of younger very progressive DFL politicians with similar ideas, Bernie isn't as appealing.
Then he threw every thing they bribed in into the trash and supported Hillary who stands against it all.
